Concierge question re. value

Wouldn't it be rational to think that going concierge would be even MORE "worth it" if you aren't planning on spending tons of time in the parks? Seriously, knowing my crowd, we might just spend all our time at AKL checking out what's available to EAT at the concierge lounge, as well as enjoying the animals and pool and hot tubs and lobby and planning our meals I think the more time you're going to spend at the resort, the more valuable the concierge services become...also, do you need a park pass to do the Sunrise Safari? Thanks.

Re: Concierge question re. value

Cant really help you with AKL stuff but I know for us we get our money's worth when we use YC's concierge! Every morning, except for one, we eat breakfast there and then stock up on sodas in our refillable mugs and head out to the parks. We usualy head back "home" in the early afternoon to take a dip in the pool which means another stop to get snacks and drinks for the pool! Then another stop (by that time it is new stuff) on the way out to hit parks again or do something else. Then finally we stop there for the night for snacks before we go to bed. So for us, it is worth it! We also take advantage of getting extra robes sent up to the room and then use them when we go down to the pool for a dip. Our idea of a vacation is to slow down and enjoy what life is offering us and not do commando style and be exhausted and pay for it later. Hope this helps!

Re: Concierge question re. value

As of right now I don't have the answers to your questions. However ask me on September 6th, when I get back from the AKL. Yes, We are staying in the Concierge level and have made reservations for the Sunrise Safari. (I assume that you need to have an entrance ticket to the AK, although it wasn't mentioned when I signed up).

This is our first adventure at the AKL and we decided to go big......we'll let you all know

Re: Concierge question re. value

Your thinking is very rational, eliza. We tend to spend our Concierge stays doing what you suggest.

As far as the Sunrise Safari, yes you will need admission to the park. When you meet in the Lounge the morning of your safari, they will collect your park tickets and run them through a machine to gain you admission to the Animal Kingdom. Your tickets are then retuned to you on the bus.
