POR Building 14 Room We are going to "The World" for the first time- HOORAY!!! We requested building 14 in POR Riverside. Does anyone know about adjoining room experiences? Also we have only a standard room selection- is it possible to get stuck looking at the parling lot? Is it worth paying extra for a water view? Thanks a million Mickies for any help!!!!

Re: POR Building 14 Room I have stayed in Building 14. It was very convenient. We did not have adjoining room so I can't comment on that. But I would not pay more money for a water view. The hallways are outside, so it is difficult to look out the window anyway (you are looking past the outdoor hallway). Have fun!

Re: POR Building 14 Room [ QUOTE ] Does anyone know about adjoining room experiences [/ QUOTE ] In hotels, ALL rooms are adjoining, but not all are connecting. Which kind are you looking for - Rooms that are just side by side (adjoining) or rooms that have a door on the inside between the two (connecting)?

Re: POR Building 14 Room I paid for and got a water view. The view, while great, is rhrough a common walkway, so if you're in your loom, the curtains / blinds have to be open. It's not worth the money. The next year, I got a courtyrad view with a standard booking ast POFQ and it was just as nice

Re: POR Building 14 Room Thanks so much for replying! I meant "connecting" rooms, which therefore would also be adjoining.

Re: POR Building 14 Room Building 14 is not on the water - it is a PRIME location though and is a hop away from the main bus depot and also the food court. (Well, one corner of the building kind of looks over to the canal, but would be quite obstructed, I think.) It's all beautifully landscaped and even the parking lot views don't force you to look over the parking lots - you usually have visual breaks of trees and shrubs and green stuff! I personally wouldn't pay for the view because we tend not to be in our rooms very much and, when we are there, we have the drapes closed. Since you don't have an exterior "private" balcony to sit on, you don't really get to take advantage of the views. Plus, moving out to the buildings that are on the water take you very far from the bus depots and main building. I was in three ajoining rooms because we were a grand gathering - none of these were connecting. However, when we stayed in POFQ in '02, we had connecting rooms and these were great! Was there a specific question about the connecting rooms that you wanted to know? Eileen

Re: POR Building 14 Room I have stayed in 14 several times, at least once with a parking lot view. It was still a pleasant view because of the trees and landscaping. It does not have a water view. I would not pay for a water view at POR because there are so many "water" things that you could get other than the canal, such as quiet pools and little "creeks."

Re: POR Building 14 Room I wouldn't pay extra for a water view at POR - regular view is just fine because the landscape is so lush and green everywhere! We requested connecting rooms with my parents and our friends were in an adjoining room - no problem getting that. We stayed in Building 17, which I loved, but Building 14 is so close to the food court, it's a good choice. Have fun!
