Room request at AKL

Just added a 3 night stay at AKL to our vacation. We booked the Savanah room as we are all animal lovers, and the idea of having animals outside the window is just to charming.
For those of you that stayed - what should I make for a room request?

Hi,
We have stayed at the AKL seven times since it opened in April of 2001. There was a time when I would have told you to request a view of the Arusha Savanna hands down but we have now had views of all three savannas and each was great in its own way. So if you want to be close to the pool area and the foodcourt then request a room on the Zebra Trail. You will have a view of either the Arusha Savanna or the Uzima Savanna and we have enjoyed both over the years. Keep in mind that it is only a request. I am sure you will have a great stay no matter what trail you are on or what savanna you have a view of.

We always prefer to stay on the Zebra trail, overlooking Arusha Rock. You're close to the elevator that goes down behind the Mara and near the pool.

We stayed on Zebra Trail on Arusha Savanna. I liked being on the 3rd floor, which is the same floor as the lobby. It was also a good height for viewing the animals. We were near the elevator to Mara and the pool, which was very convenient. I thought we had the perfect room. Enjoy your trip!!!

I would request the Kudu Trail, Arusha Savanna, 3rd floor. Request a room in the 3300s. They have a great view, and a wonderful variety of animals. Kudu Trail is also quieter because you don't have all the traffic from the pool and restaurants. Arusha is big enough that you don't notice the fencing, etc. that you see on the other savannas, and you really feel you are looking out over a piece of Africa.

Enjoy your stay, you will love the AKL!

If the animals are important to you, I'd request Arusha Savannah, too. We were on Sunset Savannah and could see the fence, the animal house, and fewer animals from our room.
