Exclamation OMG! Only 5 studios available for a F&W Weekend!

So I just got off the phone w/ DVC to check availability of studio rooms for Oct. 18--21 The only DVC w/ studios available was SSR! And only 5 at that! I was only calling in anticipation of going... not knowing if it's a for sure until after June 1st. Yikes, I had to make a 2 minute decision about going or not ... And I BOOKED THE STUDIO!! , but now I need to find cheap airfare & a few direct and cheaper airlines are already sold-out or close to it because it's MEA weekend in Minnesota (Teacher's Education Conference)... Just wanted to give a warning of how booked WDW seems to be getting!

Congrats on getting a studio booked! My sister and I will be there October 14 - 20, maybe we will see you in Epcot!

Good luck on finding cheap airfare.

October is a HUGE month for conventions, so that takes up many rooms. Then add the F&W Festival, and it's tough to find a room during much of the month if you wait too long.

Congrats on booking your DVC studio for the time you wanted. It's been my experience that it seems to be getting harder and harder to book reservations using your DVC points at the DVC resorts for exactly what you want, particularly at the seven month window. My only guess for why this occuring would be the fact that the ranks of members are constantly swelling, making the more popular locations harder and harder to procure.
