| Hi! I'm staying at ASSp for 4 days in September (free dining!!). All Ears has been reporting for weeks that the main pool (Surfboard Bay) will be closed for rehab from 8/27 thru 9/13, which was fine with me since we aren't arriving until 9/20. But I just got a letter yesterday from Disney stating that the pool will be closed until early October. I'm wondering if anyone else got this, or knows any more about it. Do you think I should try to change resorts? Will the Grandslam Pool at ASSp be REALLY crowded if it's the only one open? I know we can use the pools at the other All Star resorts, but I don't really see us going so far out of our way for the 2 or 3 times we might use the pool. Thanks for your help! |

| I was reading about this over on the DIS. The person who started the thread got the same letter and tried to have her reservation moved...without any luck. She also said that Disney would not change her reservation from preferred to standard and refund that portion. She was very upset since the same thing happened to her family last year. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

| Thanks for the info! I went over and read the thread on the DIS. They are sure a rowdy bunch over there! I think I will just stay put and just use the other pools, because it sounds like it will be a big hassle to try switching resorts and still keep my free dining. |
