| WL Bus Service My family is staying at WL in Dec. After reading some of the posts regarding the bus service at WL, I'm getting concerned. Is it really that bad? We will have a car; so I wandering if I should start planning on driving to the different parks. What are some of your opinions? |

| I always think of it like this, the bus rides are just like a park ride fun, looking at all there is to see on the way there and back. We have stayed at WL several times and really have never had any bus issues. CB bus service was more of a hassle with all the stops you make at the different sections so I liked not having to do that at WL. I would not be one to drive even if I had a car there.

| We went in Dec.2005 and had absolutely no problems. We have three boys and had a double stroller. We only took the buses to AK and MGM. We took advantage of the boat service to MK (AAWESOME) and then took the boat to MK then got on the monorail for Epcot. I never knew the bus issue was a problem here. Good luck!

| This past trip was the first where we used our car a lot. I've always used the buses in all our other 10 trips to WDW. It was just very convenient to use it this time for whatever reason (both at BWV and WL). We only rode the bus once leaving BWV and we never rode it leaving WL, though we attempted to one evening, but it took too long for one to come, so we decided on the boat to MK instead. I kind of missed being on the buses. I like to talk to people sitting (or standing) near me on the buses. I've met lots of neat people that way. If you like the buses, give them a try the first couple days, and see how it goes. You can always use your car for the later days, if it isn't convenient or fun. Hope this is helpful.

| Wilderness Lodge is our favorite place to stay and we have never had any bus problems there. Plus WL also has both the small and large boat services. ![]()

| Thanks so much for your opinions!! By the way, can anyone confirm the resorts that WL shares bus service with? We have an ADR at the Poly one night and I thought we might be able to hope on a park bus if it was going to make a stop at the Poly.

| I dont know that the bus ever went to Poly. We did the Aloha dinner show and just took the boat over to MK then you can do the Monarail, or a boat to Poly. Just give yourself enough time. Told hubby this trip want to get to Poly early and go in the shops there since I have never gone in them before we are doing the dinner show in Sept again

| When dh and I stayed at WL we had no problems with the transportation - either boat or bus. We were there over spring break - so it was a busy time.

| Just be prepared that the WL bus frequently stops at FW before you head to any park. If you are trying to make an ADR, just be aware that it may take longer than expected. That was our biggest problem with the bus service from WL. Jill

| We did not have problems with the bus service when we stayed at WL. But one of the reasons we chose WL was for the ferry service to MK and CR. We used that much more often than the buses. The bus is shared with FW. Another perk of staying at WL is that it is very convenient to FW, and there are several fun activities there, such as the camp fire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale. DS and DD loved that. We all loved the S'mores

| VWL is our home resort and WL is our favorite -- so, we've got lots of trips under our belt. When going to the Poly we usually take the small launch to the Contemp and then hop the monorail. As for bus service, the last couple of visits we've had some long waits. I can't remember which park it is that shares service with Grand Floridian. As others have mentioned most buses also stop at FW. We did notice early in the morning there is a cast member at the bus stop.

At the WL boat docks take the small boat over to Contemporary Resort. Its a short ride and people love boat rides. At Contemporary take the Monorail around to Poly. It will be your second stop. To make a special ride of it, When you get to Contemporary ask one of the Cast Members at the Monorail if you can get the Front Seat of the Monorail. If the front seat is empty when the monorail pulls in you will get to ride in the front with the driver. If you have time, get there really early and wait for a empty Front Seat. Then ride the Monorail all the way around the loop and back again and then get off at Poly when it comes back around. Have fun
