| Moderate Resorts -- First Timer Hi Everyone, This is my firts post and firts time to WDW. We think we are going 9/28/2008 - 10/4/2008. It is going to be me, DH, DD (6), DS (3), Mother, Father and MIL. We were thinking of staying in the Junior Suites at Coronado Springs. Has anyone ever stayed?? We are a little unsure b/c it sounds like it is geared towards business people. Do all the Moderate Resorts have adjoining rooms?? We were also thinking of staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort in, if they have them, adjoining rooms?? I am half way through my PassPorter and my head is spinning -- there is soooooo much to plan and take in!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Heather |

| We stayed at CSR last August and fell in with it. We were worried about the 'business feel' that people talk about, but we didn't feel that at all. We found it to be a lovely resort with one of the best CS restaurants we've encountered on property. We also thought the bus service was awesome as well....that may have had something to do with people attending the convention, so the buses were nearly empty the entire 10 days we were there. We will be staying at CBR for the first time in 19 days, so I can't comment on that resort YET! As for adjoining rooms, all of the resorts have adjoining rooms. You do need to know that there is a difference between adjoining rooms & connecting rooms though. Adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to each other. Connecting rooms are rooms that have a door connecting the two rooms. All you have to do is request connecting rooms on your reservation, but I don't believe they are guaranteed. making your decision and to the boards!!

| Hi Heather, welcome to the boards! I know how overwhelming planning a trip to WDW can be at the beginning But you've definitely come to the right place for help I'm pretty sure that all the moderates offer adjoining rooms. They don't guarantee that you actually get adjoining rooms but if you request them there's a good chance you will. Can't comment on the Junior Suites at Coronado Springs (CS), sorry. This moderate resort is not one of my personal favorites (I like Port Orleans Riverside best!) but I know that there are lots of people on this board who do. Caribbean Beach (CBR) has a more laid-back feeling (like a beach resort). I don't think you can go wrong with any Disney resort, though.

| to the boards, Heather! I can't comment on the Junior Suites, but I have stayed in connecting rooms at CBR. 3 years ago my ex, DD and DS (they were 18 and 21 at the time) stayed there. It was great! It was less exspensive than a deluxe resort and you had an amazing amount of space. Not to mention 2 bathrooms. to help!

| Hi Heather and welcome to the boards! While Coronado Springs is a convention resort, the theme and feel of the whole resort are definitely Disney... beautifully landscaped and decorated, and very friendly cast members! There are three distinctively different sections of Coronado Springs, each with their own appeal. We've stayed in both the Casitas and Ranchos and loved them both. Keep in mind that a junior suite will cost more than 2 standard rooms. As has been mentioned, there is a difference between adjoining and connecting rooms. If you just want to be next to the other part of your travel party, then request adjoining rooms. If you want to be able to go into the other room from within each room, then you would want connecting rooms. All resorts have adjoining rooms and each has a limited number of connecting rooms. Have fun with your planning!

| From what I see, a Jr Suite at Coronado has a max occupancy of 6. I think it might be tight with 7 people in there, especially 5 adults. I would go for the adjoining rooms at a Moderate resort. I prefer the theming of Carribbean Beach Resort to Coronado Springs, but we had a nice time at both. I think you'd have a nice time at either. Welcome to the boards! Beth |

| Hi Heather! Welcome to the boards! With all of the people in your party I would definitely recommend adjoining rooms. While I haven't stayed at Coronado Springs, lots of folks have said they have liked it. Photos I've seen of the resort are beautiful. The Caribbean Beach Resort is a good choice as well. Since it was built before CSR the rooms are slightly bigger (and the corner rooms have two windows--really nice!) Planning can definitely make your head spin but there's lots of us here ready and willing to help--even when our own heads are spinning from this planning madness! LOL!

| Welcome!! We just returned from staying at the CBR & can't stop singing their praises!! We loved it there. And yes, they do have connecting rooms. As mentioned before, they are a bit larger rooms then the other moderates. We stayed in Jamacia 42. Great location, close to pool, bus stop & bridge to Old Port Royale ( food, main pool & gift shop). We never did swim at the main pool, preferring our pool in Jamacia.
