Unless your tv has completely stopped working and you need a new one, then I would stay at the Poly.

I've never heard anything about Walmart selling refurbished TVs. I know that mine came in a box that had never been opened. I also know that it's been great since I bought it two years ago.

I feel your pain, because I am facing a similar dilemma. We REALLY, REALLY wanted to stay at BC. But I just found out I need to purchase a vehicle a year earlier than I was planning. After some soul-searching, I decided that I am not buying the room. As long as I get to go to WDW, I will compromise a little on the accomodations. It just gives me something to look forward to for next trip!

I believe it is illegal to sell a refurbished TV as new. It would have to have a tag in it stating it is refurb. They may not be the latest model, or a discontinued model, but not refurb, unless tagged so.

I loved the Poly this past December, and we cut back on Christmas spending to help pay for the trip. As others have mentioned, I feel strongly about the memories. We watched the water parade and MK fireworks from our room in Tuvalu, and we liked that we could see the castle as well. I even had a little time to myself! On a couple of mornings I got up early and walked around without DH and the kids, and I just loved taking it all in. It was a special vacation for us, and it was made even more special by the fact that we were at the Poly. I'm sure that you'll be happy no matter what you decide. Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

how about both - stay the first part of the trip at a value resort - then the last few nights at the Polyn.

then you can really enjoy the Polyn - because you have been to the parks already.
