Question about the Swan / Dolphin

How does the discounts work for teachers / nurses at the Swan / Dolphin?

For teachers do college professors get a discount or does it have to be teachers for high school or lower?

The reason I am asking is that my surprise trip for my kids in December might actually turn into a bigger trip with my parents and sister and nephew...my father is a college professor so I wondered if he would be eleigble for a discount if they decided to stay there.

I would suggest calling Swan and Dolphin and asking them directly.

Good luck!!

I don't know.
There are other discounts to be had at Swan and Dolphin too. If they belong to AAA or AARP they might get a discount. Sometimes there are special discounts for AllEarsNet.com readers.

I believe it's all about your license. I am a teacher and called about this discount several times. I actually had a trip booked over Thanksgiving 2001 on this discount. 9/11 happened, and we were still convinced we were going, but then that flight went down in Queens, here in NY a couple of weeks before we were set to leave and I was totally freaked out, so I cancelled. But I digress....

It may be a combo of a license and/or paycheck but it's not much more than that. Have fun! The only things you miss by staying at these resorts are dining plan and DME.

We used the discount the last time we went to WDW. Upon check in we had to present a school ID and a check stub for last month's pay period. We LOVED the Swan! Feel free to pm me if I can help with anymore questions.

I found this on the following website https://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/dreamsres/sd.cfm#

Teacher and Education Support Staff Discount
All teachers and educational facility administrative personnel (includes colleges and universities) can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts. If you are a teacher with a certified teaching certificate, or you are employed in a school as an educational facility administrator you can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts. This would include teachers aides, substitute teachers, and administrative staff. These job types will require a Work ID or letter from supervisor on company letterhead stating employment or a recent Pay Stub.

We stayed at the Swan last November and just loved it! And the price was HALF what we would have paid for any other deluxe!

I checked into this also and the teacher discount is by far a better discount than any other that I saw. AAA is usually good for about 10% off, and AARP is almost always the same as AAA.

We used the teacher discount when we stayed at the Dolphin back in 2006. Halfway down to FL I realized I didn't have my ID badge....nor could I find a paystub in the car. I did have a statement from the State Educator's Credit Union with me and I was praying they'd accept that....but they never even asked to see anything at check-in (thank goodness!) I need to carry my stupid ID badge everywhere!
