| Just back... Wilderness Lodge review We've been home since last Thursday night and now that i have my thoughts together and our schedule is back on track; i'd like to post a few of my thoughts about our latest Disney adventure. This was our first experience staying in a deluxe resort and it did not disappoint. Wilderness Lodge was everything we thought it would be and more! The lobby is stunning, huge, yet cozy, it "smells" like home and the CM's were all wonderful. We booked a woods view room with bunk beds and i had requested our room be in the north wing, on an upper floor. We were given a room on the 6th floor, close to the elevators which was perfect. Our room was very nice, the Mousekeeping staff was always prompt and did a very nice job, they left something every day, whether it was a towel animal or stageing the stuffed toys in cute displays. We really enjoyed the pool areas and took advantage of renting a boat to cruise around for a half hour, which was very nice. The one and only thing that we weren't impressed by was the "food court". Roaring Forks is way too small and offers very little in variety. We didn't have opportunity to dine in Whispering Canyon or Artist Point but really wish we had, both look lovely. Overall, we are very happy to have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We were able to be "Flag Family" on our very last day and Ranger Stan made the experience memorable and magical. I would give the Wilderness Lodge a 9 out of 10, if only their food court were a bit bigger...Thanks for reading! Wendy |
