Refurbishments to Boardwalk Inn rooms?

Hi everyone. I was glancing through my Passporter book this AM on the train, and saw a note that the rooms at the Boardwalk Inn are undergoing refurbishment late this year. Does anyone have an update on that? We'll be there mid December, so I was just wondering. Thanks!!

Here is a recent quote from the May 27, Allears newsletter:

"We just got back from a four-night stay at the Boardwalk Inn and were told that the concierge level will close July 1 for a projected 3-4 week rehab. This will include the lounge and all concierge rooms. The carpeting, wallpaper, etc. will be changed as well as WIFI and flat screen TVs added in the rooms. Once completed they will gradually move on to the other Inn rooms and finally the Villas."

I am very interested in this, because we are booked there for our Anniversary trip in November, and my husband wants a flat screen tv in our room. So I hope we get an updated room.

I hope this is true and they are done by November, because we are booked there for our Anniversary trip and it would be nice to have a redone room.

Thanks for the update. It is good to know these things up front rather than be surprised by possible construction/remodeling noise.
