I guess I'm really in the minority but I would pick Wilderness Lodge over the Poly for several reasons. First for me is the fact that the Poly doesn't have a hot tub and when on vacation, I really like to soak in one at the end of a long day in the parks. Second is the fact that I prefer a hotel where everything is contained under one roof and I don't find myself dashing through the rain just to get a drink. That can easily occur at the Poly where some of the buildings are a fair walk outside from the main facilities. Thirdly, the theming of the WL is more to my personal taste. There is something so magical and peaceful about the surroundings at WL.

Personally, the Poly is my absolute favorite resort. Not just for the monorail, I actually find the Epcot resorts more convenient. I just love the whole atmosphere of the Poly. It really feels like you're in the South Pacific. It's so laid back and still has that luxury feel.

My family has stayed at both resorts and we were not disappointed with either of these AWESOME places!! The Polynesian has a special place in my heart, and I was glad that we were able to visit this property to see the Luau in April. Also on our latest trip the kids spent an evening at the Neverland Club while DH and I had a relaxing meal at Citrico's. Their age range was 6-9, and they all the club. Have fun planning your trip!!

Thanks Cinderbrella for the Neverland review! My kiddos are in that same exact range! Glad to hear they will love it, so hubby and I can have a little romance!

I think you will love the POly. We stayed there years ago and loved it, but stayed at WL last April 2007. I agree with the person who said that the Poly would be a better choice since you are also staying at the AKL and WL would be more similar to that. It will be more expensive, but I love the atmosphere, being on the monorail closeness to MK (faster to get there), easier for transportation all around as well. When you eat at WL you'll see how beautiful it is, so maybe you can go there another time.
