All Star Sports

Staying at All Star Sports for the first time and have a question about the room. I do have a preferred room, which I am hoping is very close to the food court and buses, but.....
is there a preference as to what floor to stay on? Honestly, I can be lazy (okay, I am one of the laziest people you will ever meet) and I don't know that I want to fool with the elevator and stairs. I guess it really doesn't make a difference but I wanted some input from folks who have stayed there.....what floor do you like best and why? Any other All Start Sports tips for me?

All Preferred rooms should be within 500' of both the Food Court and the pool. The busses are on the other side of the building the Food Court is in, so not that much further - and through an air-conditioned lobby, at that. Even rooms that aren't Preferred, often aren't terribly far. DGF and I stayed at All Star Movies, in the Fantasia building - 99% of which is Preferred, but we were at the end of the wing completely away from the pool, and on the second or third floor. Nonetheless, the food court never seemed onerously far away. With a preferred room, it'll be a hop-skip-and-a-jump away, I'm sure. ^_^

If you face the pool, and are on the first floor - you step out, and BOOM, there you are: poolside. No turning left or right to reach a staircase / elevator. Flipside, you'll get more noise from said pool area, as well as from guests heading to/from the food courts at meal times.

DH and I prefer the top floor. Reason? Little kids that are very excited about being at WDW(understandibly). It's just a little nicer not hearing them run and jump above you when you are trying to sleep.

I always prefer a top floor at the value resorts. The traffic is less and therefore drops the noise level down a notch too.

We stayed on the top floor of homerun hotel parking lot side. It was nice and quiet and we weren't that far from everything.
