| AP discounts are a great deal, but depending on the time of year you're looking into going, the AAA could be just as good. Also...they release the AP rates in waves...once the new pricing is out for the next year, the AAA discount is available for the entire calendar (subject to availability & black out dates, like Christmas Week) so if you're looking to lock something in on a discount early, you could always get AAA then change to AP if it becomes available.

| I believe the AAA discounts range anywhere from 10-20%, depending on the season. AP discounts are freqently in the 30-40% range. I totally agree with the others -- AP rates win hands down. ![]() Eileen

| AP rates don't always win hands down....although I think they are usually always your best bet. As an example, we're doing Port Orleans in October for just over a week, and our rate was just over $1200 at the AP rate (can't remember exactly, and my figures are at home). Friends that are going to be down at the same time and staying at the hotel got a similar rate (still in the $1200 range) by using the AAA rate for the hotel. Our AP rate was still cheaper, but not by much....fifty or sixty dollars at the most. I was actually suprised at how cheaply they were able to get their rooms with the AAA discount. Is that always the case, tough to say, but I know for our situation, it is worth it. Still there is the added benefits of AP holding, i.e. the other discounts around the World, as well as the flexibility of being an AP holder....although being an AAA member has its benefits as well (we're both hehe). Good luck with your planning! Tim |
