Laundry & Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Hi everyone!

Just trying to figure out my packing situation for my weeklong mommy/daughter trip that's coming up in August. With airlines charging for checked bags, I'm wondering if I should just pack less and try and do laundry while I'm down there. That being said, Are laundry facilities available in Deluxe Resorts as they are in others? No that I would want to spend my vacation doing laundry, but I figure less is more! Thanks for the info!

AKL does have a guest laundry room. I have used it several times. I enjoy swimming while doing laundry! I just run inside and switch it over and go back to the pool. Very !

The laundry room I used was on the first floor near Simba's Clubhouse.

AKL has 2 facilities! One on the ground floor near Simba's Clubhouse, and the other on gosh, either the 2nd or 4th floor of the trail that overlooks the Sunset savanna (I'm having a bad day trying to remember names) Both are great! We always do laundry on vacation

I have used the laundry at AKL several times. Yes, there is near Simba's Clubhouse and one on level 2 of the Kudu Trail down close to room 2331. Be prepared to pay, I think it was $2 per wash and dry cycle. It took 2 cycles to get things dry and I would usually still have somethings that were slightly damp that I would hang to finish drying. but much easier than packing a ton of clothes.

I used the laundry facilities near Simba's Clubhouse when we stayed at AKL 2 years ago and had no complaints. I took my own laundry soap and fabric softener sheets, so it wasn't as expensive. It's a great alternative to over packing.
