Offsite recomendations?

Ok..ok..ok. I know it's heresy, but we're considering staying off site for the first leg of our January trip. Just 4 nights. (Then we have a grand villa booked at OKW.) But we're looking for recommendations for a 2 bedroom suite/condo whatever that can sleep 2 adults and 4 kids. We were thinking of doing the cabins at FW but they're getting too small as the kids get older.

Any ideas from you non-koolaid drinkers?

Welcome to the Dark Side! We loved Windsor Palms, most people go with Windsor Hills. Look at ..VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals by OwnerŽ Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner and search in Kissimmee. You'll find a lot of deals on condos. We loved the extra space and the prices. A good night's sleep is priceless when you're not crowded in a cramped hotel room. The second bathroom is worth it's weight in gold.

Our condo was a 3 bed, 2 bath luxurious space. The pool was wonderful and it was less than 5 minutes from AK. Totally worth it. I doubt we'll stay onsite ever again.

Ditto on checking VRBO's site. I've used them for multiple vacations and have yet to be disappointed. And *swoon* having the space to spread out and decompress from a day at the park... oh yeah. Multiple bedrooms... color me content! LOL! On-site is wonderful, don't mistake me. I love it. But... off-site is often cheaper and a lot of times more spacious.

We booked our first night at the Embassey Suites-Lake Buena Vista. They may have 2 bedroom suites. There you also get a free full breakfast cooked to order. Check out the on line special rates.

We are also renting a 4 bed-3 bath house and it is costing us $99 per night. It has an inground pool with jacuzzi. We added the pool heat since we're going in early November. It is only 10 minutes from WDW.

We stayed at the Lake Buena Vista Spa and Resort Luxury Condominium Resort Suites and Full Service Spa in Orlando in Feb. and rented a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. Tons of room, full kitchen, washer and dryer in room, TVs in the bedrooms and living room. Was really clean also. There are still more builidings in construction. We thought the prices were really good. Disney wasnt more than 10 min away and was really easy to get to. Wal Mart right down the street and outlet mall right next door.

We stayed at Caribe Royale, heard about it through MouseSavers. We stayed in a 1BR but they have 2BR, too. MouseSavers often has discounts (but not $99!). It was very nice, very very close to WDW, pool was great, staff was friendly.

In 2006 we rented a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home for a week for $675. We had 7 adults and 3 children. They home included everything. It also had an inground pool, with a hot tub. I don't remember the website, but there are a lot of websites to choose from. It was located in Davenport and just one exit away from the Disney exit.

Last year we stayed at ASMovies, (free dining) and my daughter said she never wanted to stay onsite again. She wanted to stay in a house, so she didn't have to walk as far. Well, she is going to have to walk again this year, because of the free dining.

When we go back in a few years, we will again rent a home.

houses did better if you rent them for the full week.

some timeshares for less than a week here
Disney Vacation Packages, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line and Disneyland vacation package - Dreams Unlimited Travel

here for cypress pointe & blue heron
Discount Hotels, Find Discount Hotels at HotelKingdom.Com - Online Reservations

remember you need either your car or rental car for any of these offsite places

windsor hills
Windsor Hills .com Rentals
although again you are better off with a week rentals.

that is a great deal - just make sure you know how far it is from WDW

Orlando Villa Location Map

Google Maps

don't be concern if the property does not show up on google - the google maps are old - very, very old - they don't have the new AKV that is going up at AKL either.
