Question Question on room request

I would like to request a certain building/section for our trip beginning on 9/6. I know the old way was by fax, but I don't think that is how they do it anymore. We are staying at POR. When I reserved online, there was a place for a note, but I screwed up and put a note about it being for my ds's bday. Now how can I request a certain location? Thanks for the help guys!

You can still fax. I did that back in January and our simple requests were honored at POFQ!

When I made our resservation in Jan the CM, Forrest, told me to call or fax the resort directly 3 days before arrival to remind them. I have faxed every time before this one, and plan to fax this time also.

YaY! Thanks guys, I'll get them a fax, it too had worked for me well in the past, for some reason I was thinking I couldn't do that anymore. I'm glad you can, since that is a pretty easy task. :-)

How soon should you make a request like that? Is 30 days too far out?

I believe the timeframe is actually 5-7 days prior to check-in for the reservation information to be transferred from the main computer to the resort's computer -- at that point, the room assigner will see the record and will be making tentative assignments for the rooms. If you get your fax there and note your check-in date and reservation number on the fax, it will help them understand your wishes and do their best to give you what you request.

By the way, the fax numbers of each resort can be found in your PassPorter (on the resort's page) and online at AllEarsNet.com HERE.
