| Air mattresses We are planning to stay at AKL Dec 20-24 - a first for us as we always stay at the military resort Shades of Green but since they are sold out and this trip came up suddenly, they were able to book us at AKL for a discount. Here is the dilemma. My inlaws who live in FL are planning to join us. Normally getting them a second room at SOG is no big deal as it is a steal (gotta love those military rates). However, AKL is much more expensive and we've always wanted to stay there. We are thinking about having the inlaws bring a couple of air mattresses for the kids to sleep on. We figure we'll be at the parks and not spend much time in the room other than sleeping and first thing in the morning to watch the animals from our savannah view. Are we crazy?

| most of the rooms at AKL only allow 4 people in their rooms. sounds like with your relatives you will be over the limit. unless you are talking AKV - 2-bedroom?

| Yes, but they are just coming up for a night or so and didn't think it would be worth it to get their own room.

| well it is your choice. Disney can have your entire party thrown out - so be very, very, very nice to your neighbors - so they won't complaint. don't think you can get room keys for more than 4 - so forget EMH nights or morning.

| mostly would suggest you rent a DVC reservation from a DVC owner and go with AKV studio for your IL - but think that time of the year is sold out. would they consider another resort besides the one you are staying at? then see how much Pop would cost you?

| We are on the waiting list at Shades of Green but probably won't know anything until 30 days before as that is their cancellation policy. If that is the case, we will stay there as you pay according to your rank and no sales tax ($119 a night and considered a deluxe hotel with the largest rooms on all of Disney property). Then we can each get a room. Thanks for your suggestions. If SOG falls through, will probably they suggest just driving up for the day.

| While I can't imagine it would be an issue for them to overnight one night in your room "off the record" (we've done that a few times with my cousin), it would probably be easier to just have them come up for the day, to keep things simple.

| I don't think I'd "press" the occupancy rules -- it's a fire safety issue and state mandated, so Disney can't be lenient if they discover more people in the room than is allowed by law. Good luck with the Shades of Green room! I hope it comes through for you! ![]() Eileen

| Limit I think WDW is pretty strict about the people in a room unless it an infant. They wont allow more than the allotted number of people per room like most hotels will.
