Boarwalk Inn Resort

My husband, 3 children aged 16, 11 & 10 and I are leaving for our Disney Holiday in 4 days, we are so excited. We are booked in a room that sleeps 5 at Disney's Boardwalk Inn resort. Can I ask, are the rooms big enough? I am thinking maybe we should try & upgrade to a room that sleeps 6, we are there for 12 nights.
Has anyone recently stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms at the Boardwalk Inn? Could someone give me info about our resort?

Thanks

I've never stayed at the Boardwalk, so I can't give you specifics, but I have stayed at the CR, the Poly, and the AKL in rooms for five with our family of five.

The setup is 2 queen sized beds and a daybed that turns into a twin sized bed for sleeping. I don't know if the daybed is smaller at the Boardwalk or not. My girls had no trouble sleeping on the one at any of the resorts we stayed in, although the one at AKL was slightly shorter than the ones at the CR and Poly. You will only have 1 bathroom - I don't know if that will be an issue for your family. It wasn't for ours.

To get a room that sleeps 6 at the Boardwalk, I think you would need a 2 bedroom villa - that would have two bathrooms and a full kitchen, washer and dryer. It might be a good option for such a long stay.

I absolutely LOVED the Boardwalk - I have some pictures I will try to post here of the room for you. We only had two adults and a 7 month old when we went, but I felt the room was plenty large. I really loved the place!

I cannot suggest this enough, though... call up today and add to your reservation a request for an EPCOT view. If you have a standard-view room, they have EPCOT views (it's not an extra charge, amazingly). I was in room 4296 and we could very clearly see Spaceship Earth and the Eiffel Tower, plus we could see the fireworks every night from IllumiNations (only the high ones, but really there are a ton of them), and on clear nights when the wind was right (which was every night in our case), we could hear the music from it. It was SOOO COOL!

Ok, just had to get that out. Let me see if I can find some pictures that show the spaciousness of the room.

DD on the bed

Ok now no comments on the mass amount of luggage, lol. Just look at the floorspace! Clearly there's a ton!

Again, it's not to show you that I over-pack, it's just to show the depth / width of the floor beside the tv. LOL!

Yes, that IS a deluxe passporter there on the couch...

Good counter space in the bathroom.

Three decent sized drawers (we kept all our snacks in there) and then that bottom little door is where the fridge is.

You can't see it because of the lighting and stuff, but behind us is our balcony and then in the courtyard right below our balcony is a quiet pool... and then straight out from the balcony you SHOULD be able to see Spaceship Earth (to the left of the pic) and The Eiffel Tower (to the right). Of course, you can't in this picture but honest they really are there!

I hope this posts correctly and is a little useful for you.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone that has helped me out with information & views. We fly in a day so Disney here we come.

Can't get a room for 6 people as it is all booked up, so just looking forward to being there now.

Thanks everyone.
