| AAA Travel Question Hi! I've seen a lot of people mention the AAA discount for the room portion of a stay at WDW. I was wondering if it was worth getting a membership solely to get the discount on the room. I saw on the website that it is UP TO 35% off of a room on select packages and that you have to work with one of their travel agents. What is it like going through one of their travel agents and what are their packages like?? We were considering a moderate resort for 10 days with park hopper and dinning options. Is this doable and what is the average discount on a room? Do the travel agents make ADRs for you? Sorry for all the questions...I just know that you guys tend to have some wonderful answers. TIA |

| We went through AAA twice, and had no problems at all. The discounts are only on the room portion of packages and they are usually 10%, 15%, and 20% depending on the season. We saved over $150 on our room this year, less than our membership costs. Our TA did make our ADRs for us, but not sure if they still do or not. |

| Our TA would be happy to make the ADR, but since I wanted to make certain we got a couple of them I called since she won't be working at 6 am. Other than that, our TA makes alot of phone calls for us.

| I have color coded your questions to my answers. See below! Quote:
2. The great thing about AAA Travel is it's size...there are many different agents and you can pretty much find someone who is an expert in their own field, whether it be Disney, cruising, Europe; etc. Just ask to be directed to the right person. The packages are set by the Walt Disney Travel Company, so you will get the same package components as you would if you booked directly with them PLUS the AAA Member Benefits, like the Story Time ( only available on packages booked thru AAA that feature one of the dining plans ) and the Diamond Club Discount Card ( which will save you money on tours, meals in Down Town Disney, etc. ). 3. Yes, you can book a package with a discount this way. Depending on your travel dates, the discount can be 10-20% off the room portion of the package. 4. I can only speak for myself on this: Yes, I help make dining reservations for people. Some folks like to do it on their own, others prefer my help. I always offer and most will take me up on it, especially if they've never been to WDW before. Hope this helps!
