CR??????

Ok please tell me why you would or would not stay at the contemporary Garden wing?

We are trying to decide where to stay. We have been to Disney several times and have stayed at AKL and YC. But now we have a toddler and think it may be nice to stay on the monorail... BUT... really can't afford to stay anywhere other than the Garden wing at the CR.
This trip will not be until the end of April

The garden wings, where we stayed on all of our CR trips, are just fine. It (used to be 2 wings) is a separate annex from the main building, but otherwise the rooms are the same in terms of size. We found the wing to be quieter than the main building. And they are less expensive, which is an attractive feature when you want to stay at the CR or along the monorail line. The views are usually fine - we normally had views over Bay Lake, which was very nice. And you are closer to the pool area.

When are you staying? As you probably already know, they're in the midst of construction on a building next to the CR. I just found this on the Unoffical Guide's website, so you may want to consider it before you make plans. TouringPlans.com - The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World

Happy Planning--I hope it all works out for you!

the new BLT is not going to upset guests at the wing. Bay Lake Towers @ Contemporary resort is the full name of the new building.

definitely go with it - and go soon.

expecting that wing to come down in a few years too.

this is the one of the rumors
BLT will be a DVC resort

the other wing (south wing) the one that is left now - will also become suites - but CR gets to kept it. they want suites for their conventions.

We plan on going at the end of April. I have also heard the rumor that the other wing may come down. I was hoping it wouldn't be until after our vacation

hey they have got to finish the BLT before they even think about starting another one.

so it should still be around until the end of 2010 or later.
