a little assistance at FW Cabins

I know that this hasa been talked about a little....

But, I am traveling with a cousin that had a broken ankle last year, severely.... The normal walking about and all can be dealt with, and with regular stopping breaks at the parks.

My question is for those who have stayed in the FW Cabins. The map in the PP book doesn't give me much.... I want near to the outpost bus stops, but not crazy far to get to the marina. What area should I request?

thanks so much!

you are aware that the cabins have steps.

when I was there the only section with cabins in them - were 2100 thru 2800

so would request 2100 or 2200

now if you want the pool too - then 2600

someone else say there is now some cabins near the marina - in 100(?) or 200(?) - but just mainly for the managers to use.

you can see what they say when you request one.

the cabins are as far from the marina as you can get.

liked the bus transportation - it was pretty fun.

There are cabins that have ramps but I would make sure you call WDW and ask them to note that you need no stairs and hopefully they can arrange for those cabins to be assigned to you.

Regardless of Loop you will have to take a bus from the cabins to both the Main Bus Stop and to the Marina. A request for near a bus stop would be most important. I would also look into renting a Golf Cart which you could park right at your cabin and park right at the marina or outpost.

Also ask for a cabin close to the entrance to the loop and if you explain why they will know what to put down i am sure.

When you check in explain again and ask them to check what cabin has been assigned and see if that will best match your needs. I am sure if they can they will make sure you can manage.

But my suggestion is to look into renting a golf cart so you can transport without using the internal busses.

Cabin Location

There are two cabins in loop 100 which is by the marina so you could walk there if staying in one of these two. Otherwise the other cabins will require bus transportation unless you rent a golf cart (smart choice) to get around the campgrounds. Hope that helps!

We stayed at the cabins in May--extended family trip--10 of us, so we had 2 cabins near each other. We got 2 golf carts too--they are NOT CHEAP--like $60 per cart per day, but with four little ones, we had to get them, they were worth it for us.

The kids loved the cabins and the golf carts--the pool is very boring--it's just a pool. No slides or fun theming, it's a pool. Your park district probably has a better pool so for us that didn't matter how far off we were.

Just about all of the cabins are located far away from the marina--

BUT--we really liked it--the kids would go back in a minute.

thanks all! and welcome jackatar! I think the steps are manageable, even good for her. we have them at our home and she negotiates them well. But, asking for loop 100 sounds awesome, at leaast if I can't get them, near a bus-stop.

again, thanks so much!
