Room Fridge

Does the fridge in the room have a freezer compartment. We are staying at POR and have ice packs that we would like to keep frozen. Thanks!

Yes it has a small freezer...I will try to find the picture.

At least I thought it did...I could of sworn when we stayed at POR in 2006 they had a small little section, but when I looked for pictures I couldn't find it. The ones on allears.net doesn't show a freezer.

I'm thinking that most of the rooms that even have an icebox would have the new cooler type ones, not a fridge / freezer. They probably cost Disney less to buy, maintain, and operate.

I don't recall having a freezer when I stayed at POR in Feb. That doesn't mean it's not there, though, lol. Just that I have no recollection of one at all.

Some of them have a small "shelf" style freezer section -- just big enough to squeeze in a freezer pack or a small bottle of water.

Some of them don't have the freezer section.

It really depends on what the resort hotel has "in stock" in the room to which you are assigned.

That is what I thought we had in our room at POR. I thought we had a freezer in it. It kept everything ice cold and even froze a couple of our waters. Thanks Eileen, for a little while I thought I was imagining the little freezer.

I just recently stayed at POR the first of this month and our fridge did not have a freezer section. But, any item you put to the very back of the fridge and with the temperature set to 8 or above would keep our items very cold and froze a couple of our waters. But, to answer your question, our fridge in Bldg#27 did not have a freezer.
