| What is your favorite Moderate and why? I'm thinking about upgrading to a moderate in September 2009, but we have never stayed in one. What is your favorite moderate? Why? What do you love about it? I can't wait to hear what you have to say. Thanks for your help!

| I really, really love POFQ. I like the theming and the compact size (we were in the farthest building from the lobby and it still never felt like a long walk). The food court is great (must try the beignets!) and the boat to DTD is a great perk (to me it's a deluxe-ish amenity--having another form of transportation that's not a bus).

| I also really love the POFQ. We stayed there a few years ago and I just loved the theming, the rooms were perfectly taken care of and very cute and comfortable to stay in, plus all the buildings were close to one another so much of the walking was within a close disntance. We stayed at the CBR and enjoyed it there, but personally I didn't like the rooms as much as the POFQ and the building we were staying in was, in my opinion, out of the way and a far walk to many of the other buildings. My DBF told me he liked CSR - but similarly it was out of the way because the layout was so large. So, my vote would be for the POFQ - we're staying there in three days and I've been super excited since our last stay was so magical ![]()

| I stayed at POR, and really loved it. One of the biggest complaints I've read about it is that it's too spread out. As the poster above mentioned, POFQ is much more compact (and it's lovely, too). But the sprawling grounds is what enticed me to POR. The landscaping is just gorgeous and I absolutely loved walking every morning from my building (one of the furthest out) to the main building. It was so peaceful and soothing. I also loved the decor. I stayed in Alligator Bayou and the rooms were so charmingly "rustic" (in a Disney kind of way, lol). I loved the availability of the boat to DTD and I loved the food court (the chocolate cake was to die for, seriously). The store was chock-full of everything I could possibly want from snacks to souvenirs. I really cannot say enough about it. It's just lovely. I think you will find someone that raves about each resort, which is why it's so tough to pick one. Just when you read someone's rave about one place and think that's where you'll stay, you go down to the next post and someone is raving about some other resort that sounds so awesome, too. So... these are some of my thoughts about POR. I really found it to be relaxing and just lovely all around.

| CSR - love the theming, GREAT service, the buses were always on time and there were a lot of them, and it was just a great relaxing way to spend a summer vacation... I would stay there again if I could afford it!

| Another vote for POR here. We've stayed there 3 times and LOVED it every single time. It's pretty, can be romantic, has a nice food court, reasonable buses, and the boat to DTD was awesome! We've also stayed at CBR and weren't crazy about it at all.

| I really love CBR. The rooms are bright, and a little larger than other moderates. I love the vanity area. I love the tropical theme, and the caribbean music . I also think that it has the best food court of all of the moderates. I do usually stay in preferred location though, because it's a large resort.

| I have only stayed at CBR. I liked it because I love Caribbean theming. The rooms were a good size and the pool and food court were great. It is a very large resort so that might not be your thing. I personally loved the walks thru the resort. Good luck with your decision.

| I stayed at Port Orleans back when it was Dixie Landings (1994) and it was so beautiful! The rooms were well appointed, the grounds were amazing, and the food at Boatwrights was terrific. If I was to stay in a moderate, I would pick POFQ again! Good luck with your choice and let us know what you decided on! |

| Thanks so much for your input. When the time comes, I will surely let you know what I decide. I'm excited about the prospect of a moderate.

| I loved POFQ for it's size and the beinets for breakfast. That being said I loved CSR more as it has a more "deluxe" feel to me. We were there in June and loved it. |

| I can't decide and if you try them all too, you might not be able to decide...... So I'll tell you why I like each one and that might help you better. I Love the CBR because the theming is right up my alley. I love pirates and tropical atmosphere. I have very fond memories of the pool bar which was fortunately positioned close to the shallow end of the pool so I could help watch my DSIL's twins. They also did a line dance through the pool area and then through the food court and really made it inviting for even the shyest of guests. I love the food court here best. We haven't stayed at CBR in years, but we come back every year for the gift shop and our favorite food court. I Love the CSR because it feels like a deluxe resort. I love the theming here to - it is so romantic at night - so many places to just sit and enjoy a lighted fountain. The pool and dig site were great fun for my DD. I love how sprawling it is. Most people wouldn't like that, but when you want to feel like getting away from the crowds, this resort makes you feel a bit secluded. I'm not really crazy about the food court. I love what they have to offer, however, it seems like such a hassle ordering the food that way. I don't like the feel that I'm "gated" in the food court and in order to leave, I have to pay. We stayed at the POR for the first time last summer. It was excellent. I loved the Alligator Bayou theming in our section. Rustic is more my style so I wasn't crazy about the French Quarter, although we walked the grounds and I would definitely give it a chance. I loved the O'l Man Island and the food court. Because this property is so landscaped, you really can't tell how large it is. The trundle bed in the room was a real plus! Overall, you won't go wrong with any of them. Good luck on your choice!

This place just has a cozy feel to it, even though it's larger than the other moderates. I've stayed here a couple of times on both sides (Magnolia & Alligator Bayou), and even though Alligator Bayou is my favorite, Manolia is just as beautiful.
