Talking Best Moderate resort for honeymoon

We are going to be in Disneyworld in the middle of Jan. 2009 for our honeymoon, and want to stay in a moderate resort. We are considering POFQ. Any thoughts?

I haven't stayed in any of the others, but DH and I have stayed at PO-FQ before. I think the resort is lovely for a romantic get-away or honeymoon. We had a room with a king bed, and it was nice an roomy. It's a nice resort to walk around, or sit down by the river and relax. Plus, even though you share busses with PO-R, the busses go to PO-FQ first . . . very convenient. The jazz band is great fun to listen too, as well.

I've stayed at four different resorts, one of them POFQ, and I definitely feel that it was so romantic. DH & I stayed there w/out the kids last January and the setting was perfect for that trip.

I agree and think POFQ would be the best moderate for a honeymoon. I do favor that resort more than anyother because I use to work there. We did have a good bit of honeymooners.

Another vote for POFQ. Be sure to request a king bed if you want one. I think there might be an extra charge but am not sure.

I'm voting for POFQ also. We've stayed at all the moderates except POR and I agree POFQ is the most romantic of all of them.

I'd say Riverside instead of FQ. It's larger, and if you stay in AB, it feels more secluded.

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside on our honeymoon and loved it. We just found it to be a beautiful and romantic setting.

My husband went by ourselves to CBR for a romantic weekend back in 2005, and we requested a king size bed--- we really thought that was a great spot. The room was beautiful (I guess the kings all have the corner rooms, so there was an extra window).

Each of the Moderates offers a different kind of romance, for different tastes. If you think PO-FQ seems the most romantic, then go for it! Of the Moderates, I happen to like the romance best at PO-FQ and at PO-R Alligator Bayou, but each of us is different.

We stayed at POR for part of our honeymoon and thought it was perfectly romantic! So calm, so beautiful (stayed in Magnolia Bend with gorgious white mansions), so spread out... We passed POFQ whenever we took the boat to Downtown Disney and it looked nice as well. I'm pretty sure it'll be romantic if you like the look of it! Definitely take a stroll along the river!

I think POFQ is a great choice! I love that it's smaller than the other mods and it has a romantic atmosphere. It doesn't have a sit-down restaurant if that's important to you--although you can always hop over to the Riverside side if you want to eat at their ts. Plus there's the boat to DTD with so many dining options there as well.
