| My family and I are planning our second trip to Disney for summer of 2010. We stayed at POFQ last time and would like to stay at a resort closer to the parks to cut down on transportation time. We spent most of our time at MK last time and would like to spend more time at Epcot and DHS this next trip. My daughters will be 7 and 5 at the time of our next visit. I was wondering if you all could give me your advice, or knowledge, as to how everything works at these resorts. Is the walk from Boardwalk to Epcot an easy one? We will be spending time at MK, but will most likely be spending more time at the other parks. Thank you for your help. You guys are always fantastic!!!!!!

| For EC and DHS, the Boardwalk is your best bet. You can walk or boat to EC and boat (or bus) to DHS. The walk is not bad at all. We have found the bus service in that area to be below-par in that it seems to be slower than most lines because it serves a number of hotels. We always use WDW transportation and are pleased with it for the most part. But we have never experienced great success on this particular line; perhaps we have just been unlucky.

| We are doing at stay at both (split trip) next time. We like them both so divided our trip into three days at each. That way, we have easy access to MK for part of the trip and easy access to Epcot and DHS for part of the trip. It's like getting two vacations in one.

| I would definitely opt for the Boardwalk. We have stayed at the villas there twice and it is our favourite of all the Disney resorts we've stayed at to date. It's a short walk to Epcot or a very pleasant boat ride to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. As for the buses to the other parks, we didn't have any problem with them although there is some bus sharing. However, were you to stay at the Poly, although you've got quick and easy access to the monorail system for the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, you have to share buses for both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios with other resorts so it can end up taking quite a while to get to the other two parks. Also, for me, I don't like the fact that the Poly doesn't have any hot tub for its guests and, since I really love using the hot tub while staying at Disney, that more or less crosses the Poly off my list of places I like to stay. Joy

| If you're planning on lots of Epcot/DHS time then I think the Boardwalk is the better bet of those two. Have you considered Beach Club? The pool is fantastic, I bet your kids would love it. And BC is also very convenient to Epcot and DHS.

| with 7 and 5 expect them to be disappointed in Studio and Epcot - now they are great - but generally need a bit of maturity to enjoy them. BWV or BCV would be great for Epcot and Studios. that say - they share buses to MK and AK. so know that now. bc and yc will share a bus. BW will share with D&S. sometimes all 5 will share (depends upon the time of the day). so understand no 'quick' trips to the MK. you can walk to the monrail from BC or BW - but it is quite a walk - plus you would need park hoppers. (epcot and MK) the bus is generally faster (not always) the Polyn will allow easy travel to both Epcot and MK. for the mk you just get on the monrial (or you can walk over to TTC and ride the ferry) for Epcot you walk over to the TTC and ride the epcot monrail. studio is bus. Polyn shares - don't remember if with CR, GF or WL - but one of them. now you can get there from epcot - but you would need to walk over to World showcase - international gateway - between France and Great Britian. this is a boat it stops at all the epcot resort first then goes to studios

| I vote for BC because of Stormalong Bay. But you can also do a split stay. Poly for days at MK and AK. BC, YC, or Boardwalk for Epcot/DHS days. Good luck.

| I disagree that your kids will not enjoy HS and EP - that is not necessarily true. Both my kids LOVE Epcot and quite a few of the attractions at HS. We spend the most time at Epcot and MK - about the same at both, actually. It will depend on your kids of course and the types of rides, shows, attractions and characters they love the most :-) If you think you'll spend MOST of your time at MK, then stay at the Poly. IMO the buses to MK from that area are a pain and driving is also. However, if you plan to split it up a bit more evenly, I vote for BW. We love stayiing in that area (at BCV twice) and the walk to Epcot and boat to HS is so nice. Enjoy planning your trip!

| It's about a 10 minute walk from Boarwalk to IG entrance at Epcot. There's a small incline while crossing a bridge, but the rest of the walk is flat.

| I haven't stayed at either, but if I were to pick, I'd love to stay at the Poly, and it's on the monorail for Epcot. Or BC for Stormalong bay. Good luck deciding. If you are staying a week or more, you could do a split as mentioned.
