| Family Suites or other hotel? Just wondering what anyone can tell me about the all-star family suites. There is going to be 5 of us going in December. We are just trying to explore our options. I would love some feed back on the family suites as well as any other ideas everyone might have! thanks |

| There's a good thread here: Where to stay inside WDW - Family of 5 That should give you some ideas. Good luck deciding! Eileen

| Good thread link from Eileen. It would also depend on the ages of the 5 people. Allears.net has loads of resort pics, so you can see what resort theming appeals to you. I would say a room in A.B. at POR would be the least expensive option. For deluxe resorts, the CR Garden wing rooms 2 queen + 1 day bed would be least expensive in that category. Have fun deciding!

| I believe that's a typo. It should say "2 double beds and one trundle bed." I would add that thinking of sleeping in a double bed is very different from ACTUALLY sleeping in a double bed. Personally, I'd pop for two rooms with a group of 5... and I'd bring along an air mattress for the smallest person to sleep on. Eileen

thank you Eileen - you are definitely correct. also forgot the deluxes - CR, Polyn, BC, YC, GF - they have 2 queen beds and a day bed both CR and Polyn are bigger rooms - their day bed is really a twin bed. the other day bed seem smaller to me.

| I have a family of five also. Luckily our youngest doesn't count against us yet. I don't know if I like the family suites. I would rather have beds and couchs and chairs that make into a bed. But the benefit of a kitchen would be nice if you wanted to bring food in. I will more likely get two rooms when the time comes.. Yuck, I don't want to buy two rooms..

| If you don't mind sharing 1 room, maybe a garden view room at CR would be good. I haven't stayed there but hear the rooms are large, and it's on the monorail & walking distance to MK, huge bonus! Or a room at the Poly, just a tad more than the CR garden view. Good luck.

| We stayed at an ASMu suite last year, and loved it! We considered adjoining rooms, but we weren't guaranteed adjoining (and I'm not sure you would be either - my TA says it's only a guarantee if the kids outnumber the adults). So we went with the suite. It was lovely! Yes, it's not the Villas, but it's really like an apartment. Two adjacent bathrooms (we thought about the distance between bathrooms in adjoining rooms PS - double beds are really small...

| We stayed in the suites in late April. The good thing is that it's on Disney property so you can take advantage of EMH and the bus service. I thought it was nicely sized for our family of four. The pull out sofa isn't the most comfortable, but my daugher was fine on the fold out chair. With a teenager it was nice to have two bathrooms, but we never really used the tiny kitchenette except to store our luggage. It was ok, but I don't think we will stay there again. Too many large groups of teens, VERY scratchy towels, not the best service by CM's, and slow bus service did us in. But if you just need a place to sleep and shower, it's just fine.
