| What can I expect of a "winterized" POR? Hi,The last time we were at POR was during the hot, hot summer. Loved the landscaping, luscious greenery, etc. What can I expect to be different? Is the boat to DtD still enjoyable with a much cooler breeze? Is the entire resort (meaning the grounds too and not just the main building) decorated for the holidays? Thanks! |

| I don't know much about the resort itself but I can speak about being out on the water. If you plan to take the boat to DTD make sure you have a warm sweatshirt/jacket with you. We've spent many December nights out on Bay Lake in the boats returning from MK or the Contemporary back to WL huddled in our hooded sweatshirts because while it was pleasant/warm on land it was freezing out on the water.

| I have stayed at POR in November, and we still used the boats to DTD even though we had to wear a sweatshirt over. I don't quite remember if the whole grounds were decorated, but they were still lovely. |

| It can be cool/cold on the boats at night (and that's true all over WDW property), so make sure you have a jacket or sweater to throw on. But they still run, and they're still scenic and enjoyable. The resorts are decorated inside and out of the main buildings. (Over the past few years, most locations have "toned it down" a little, but it's still magical and festive.) It's my fav time of year to be at The World. Eileen

| A few years back, we stayed at POR in December and the grounds were lovely! Many of the pathways were lined with poinsettias - very beautiful! We took the boat to DTD and I don't remember being too chilly, I do remember wearing sweatshirts though! Enjoy your stay at POR - it's my favorite reosrt!
