Windsor Palms Resort through All Star Vacation Homes

We just returned from a week at WDW and just wanted to let you know how great the condo was that we rented at Windsor Palms resort through All Star Vacation Homes. Because we were there over New Years, we just couldn't justify how much WDW charges for its rooms over the holiday season. So we found out about Windsor Palms on the All Star Vacation Homes website. I was really pleased with our condo. For less than half of what we would have spent at WDW, we ended up with a 1400 sq ft condo complete with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. There was a nice size living room, dining room and kitchen as well as a screened in sun porch outside. Two of the bedrooms were master bedrooms complete with king size beds and walk in closets. The third bedroom was a bunk bed with a twin over a full. All of the bedrooms had a TV and VCR and the living room had a large screen TV with a DVD player. The smaller bedroom even had an X-box game system with a game included. It was beautifully decorated and we felt very much at home. There was a nice pool located nearby as well as a clubhouse complete with game room, movie theater and sundries shop. The condo was located only about three miles from the main entrance of WDW. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the WDW resorts!

Re: Windsor Palms Resort through All Star Vacation Homes

This condo really sounds great. I know what you mean about costs around the holidays, it can get out of hand. I will have to consider the vacation homes when bringing a large group, the website photos look wonderful. There is so much room to spread out.

Really, my only complaint about Disney resort hotels is that they are just so darn cramped. Seems like they could give their patrons a little more room!!

We just got back from our trip to Windsor Palms too! We had 11 people sharing a huge 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bath house! It was gorgeous! Our pool and hot tub were great escapes after a busy day at the park! I wanted to move in!!!
I miss the house already! I HIGHLY recommend this resort!!!

Thanks for the info - I checked this website out yesterday it looks awesome. It's nice to get positive feedback to, as pictures aren't always as telling the full truth!

I must say, it's tempting for my next trip...

Re: Windsor Palms Resort through All Star Vacation Homes

I was at the dentist's office this week and he said that he and his family were going to WDW in a few weeks. He was wondering where we stayed and I told him we were at a condo just outside of WDW. He said that they were booked at a resort three miles from the entrance of WDW. I commented on how that sounded similar to ours, so he asked me what the name of the place was. "Windsor Palms", I replied. Come to find out, that is where he and his family are staying. It really is a small world, isn't it? I had never even heard of Windsor Palms until I was surfing through Deb Wills' site and followed the link to All Star Vacation Homes. I brought in my vacation photos to work, and everyone has been commenting on how nice our condo looked. It really was a great alternative to WDW and the WDW prices which are just out of this world.
