question about reservation

We called a couple weeks ago to reserve our room at the Yacht club. Today we received what i thought was a confirmation in the mail. It seemed to be more like information but it did say that we were staying at the yacht club. I thought we would get our confirmation number etc... is this all you usually get? This is the first time we have stayed on site since I was a child so I'm not sure what they send.

Re: question about reservation

In the right hand corner under the date should be a reservatin number--that is your number. It should tell your arrival and departure dates, guest, room, room view, and total cost you owe (minus the deposit--if you made the deposit with a credit card). Hope this helps.

Re: question about reservation

We also have ressies for the YC, and received our "trip planning" mailing today. This is not an official confirmation...but they are expecting you!

The Confirmation comes just as MickeyMAC states. We have not yet received ours, although our ressies were made with a one night deposit on 1/12. I have found in the past, that with some CM's, you must request a mailing of your confirmation, especially when a payment has been applied or a modification is made. Next time I call, when I'm ready to make PS's, I will request mine. Without the DC toll-free number, it's not worth it.

So, until the paperwork is in your hands (and after), it's wise to keep all your trip documentation in order (Confirmation #, credit card posting for deposit, etc.). And the Passporter pockets are the BEST for this!

Re: question about reservation

Yes That's what it said on the front. "trip Planning information" I just thought they would have the confirmation number, how much we paid etc.. included.
But I have the confirmation number from the phone call. Thank you for the answers
