AKL Jr.Suites As a family of 5 I'm very interested in booking AKL's Jr.Suites. Would someone please describe them. We would like to visit WDW next year to enjoy the Xmas season. We'll probably go around the 2nd week of Dec. We'd like to split our week stay between AKL and Wilderness Lodge. Does WL also have Jr.suites.?We've never been to either. But from the sounds of everyone on the board they both sound awesome! My daughter will be turning 16 that year so for sweet sixteen she may bring a friend. How many people do the Jr.Suites accomodate? Or is it wiser to just get adjoining rooms? Thanks MaryJane

Re: AKL Jr.Suites Well the Jr Suites at the WL sleep 6, but they're not to be confused with the AKL Deluxe rooms that sleep 5. Basically the Deluxe rooms at AKL are no different than rooms you'd find at the other deluxe resorts that sleep 5. They have 2 queens and a daybed or 1 queen, bunks and the daybed. The Deluxe rooms are on the upper floors of the resort but still provide a great view from your balcony of the savannas! The Jr. Suites at WL however have a two separate main rooms - they're much more spacious than the Deluxe rooms at AKL.

Re: AKL Jr.Suites I can't help you with the suites but we went with another family and had connecting rooms at Yacht Club. It worked really well. Hope someone can help you out.

Re: AKL Jr.Suites I would think the adjoining room would be better for no other reason that you would then have 2 bathrooms. Seems like it would be much easier for everyone to get ready in the morning.

[/ QUOTE ] But a VERY expensive option at the AKL to have 2 standard sized rooms rather than one deluxe. Our kids always took baths/showers at night and often we did too after a long day of touring. Makes for a bit of a less stressful morning. |

Re: AKL Jr.Suites We were a party of 5 at AKL in September and went for the adjoining rooms option as opposed to a suite because we thought the suites were quite expensive. Having the adjoining rooms was fantastic because you could still get that little bit of privacy if you wanted, and the two bathrooms were invaluable!
