GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views Couple of questions: 1) Has anyone ever stayed in a Tower Room at the GF? Are they wonderful? Do you know where they are located? I have a map. 2) Also, has anyone ever stayed in a Lagoon View room, corner room? I'm trying to decide which would be better. I will most likely be staying at a moderate for our trip in Aug, but will be able to do a couple of nights at a deluxe, and I was really interested in these two rooms. Can anyone help?

Re: GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views I'm sorry I can't help Lisa, I've only been to Chef Mickey's. BTW if you stay at Contemporary CM is a wonderful, fun place to eat! OK, I was confused for a minute even if you stay at GF, Chef Mickey's at Contemporary is great

Re: GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views I haven't stayed in either of those rooms. I have read a report from someone who stayed in a corner room in Boca Chica that that was Lagoon view. It had two balconies/patios and had a perfect view of the castle and the polynesian. I would think it would be hard to get one of those type room though, as you can't reserve one, you could only request it when reserving your lagoon view room. It might be better to reserve a Tower room so that you would be guaranteed the type you want. The rooms have a seperate seating area and no balcony (I think). -HiddenMickey

Re: GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views Hi! I stayed in a corner Lagoon view room and I loved it, however I didn't stay in a tower room so I can't compare for ya. Was there anything specific you wanted to know?

Was there anything specific you wanted to know? [/ QUOTE ] Was the corner lagoon view room bigger than most regular rooms? I think a corner room would be wonderful. I think the Tower rooms have a sitting area, but I can't be sure since the WDW site no longer has the room layouts (bummer). I will only be able to do about 2 nights at the GF and I would like it to be a really nice room. Anything you can tell me about either the lagoon corner or tower would be appreciated. |

Re: GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views Hmmm...I think the first question you should ask yourself is how much time will you spend in the room-in other words do you need a separate sitting area? Our Lagoon-view room had a sitting area and I don't think we used it once. I heard tho that the tower rooms were on the small side-can anyone confirm? We had plenty of room and it seemed to be bigger than most rooms but I can't be 100% sure. I was so thrilled to be there everything seemed larger than life! I'm sorry I'm not being much help but I don't think you'll be disappointed because the view alone is worth it.

Re: GF Tower Rooms or Lagoon Views We have stayed at both (at the same time - Dh and 2 DDs and I had a corner room, and DD, mom, and a few friends had connecting tower rooms) I preffered our room. The balconies are great, and the view is awesome! Also, the tower rooms are a bit smaller, and there is no balcony. One thing - with either, if you have kids that scare easily, you might want to reconsider. The sounds of the wolves howling, and the shrieking ghosts, both from Haunted Mansion, kind of freaked one of our kids out. The sounds carry very well, and are heard all night
