Room requests....

I called down to POR this morning to give my room requests for my stay at the end of May. I booked through a travel agent, and he said that since I booked through someone other than Disney itself, I wouldn't be able to put in any new room requests! Imagine my surprise. Has this happend to anyone else? And if it has how did you make your requests? Should I call my travel agent? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Room requests....

I booked our trip thru AAA and I just gave my travel agent my specific room request and she takes care of it. But since this is my first trip we will see if it works or not. Hope that helps.

Re: Room requests....

If you are wanting to make a request, I would call your agent so they can get it noted.

Re: Room requests....

I'm sure that your agent can still add requests to the reservatioin. Just remember they are requests with no guarantee of being honored. That being said I think Disney does a good job of trying to honor requests, especially smoking/non-smoking. I have often had my requests granted.

Re: Room requests....

We just got back from the French Quarter. Our travel agent (Melissa from Magical Journeys) made all the requests and they were all granted except the building. We actually ended up in a better building than I originally requested!

Re: Room requests....

Last year we booked through a travel agent. We didn't put in any requests. Four days before our arrival I faxed our requests directly to the resort. We got everything we asked for. This year our requests were put in by our agent at the initial booking. Try faxing your requests directly to POR. !
