AAA room discounts Okay, i'm getting worried about the AP rate coming out for October (when????? ) & have been reading a lot here about the AAA discount... I had a horrible experience with AAA travel agents so I never really paid any attention but now my curiosity (& money saving gene) is piqued... Are there room only discounts from AAA & do I simply call CRO ( or whatever they're called now! ) & ask them to apply a AAA discount to my existing ressie???I hope this makes sense.. right now I'm paying rack rate & would love to get some kind of discount!! TIA for any help! & keep your fingers crossed for some great AP room only rates for early October

Re: AAA room discounts We had a room only AAA rate at the BC in May (that's all there was ) We had the TA (YMJ) apply it no problem (actually both our hotels started out that way and then we moved to APs at AKL)!

Re: AAA room discounts Yep - just call CRO, and if they still have rooms available at the discounted price (which they usually do!), then you are all set. They will ask for your AAA number when you reserve it, but they never asked to see my card when I checked in! We used this last November - the AP rates weren't available for the AKL Concierge on our first 2 nights, so I took the AAA discount instead. The AAA discount varies by season and resort type - I think it is 15% off in regular season, and 20% off in value, but I'm not sure - good luck, and let us know how you make out!
