Room requests What is the usual date for faxing or calling in room/building requests? I heard something about no earlier than three days prior, because that is when they have them ready? Also, what is the request number? Thanks!!!!

Re: Room requests It seems from what I've read 3 or 4 days before is about right. The phone number will depend on what resort you are staying at, but all numbers for all resorts can be found at Deb Wills' site: http://www.wdwig.com Kag

Re: Room requests I called 5 days prior to arrival (she said if it's listed on your reservation, it will be noticed when they assign rooms). I also faxed my requests to the "room controller" 4 days prior, just to make sure. We did indeed get the exact room we requested. They did tell us each time that it was "not guaranteed", but I know they do try. ------------------ mbgold

Re: Room requests Oh, we stayed at Magnolia Terrace... really beautiful..and quiet. I called a day before the flight, and requested a no smoking, quiet, first floor, near a bus stop, now knowing where they were going to put us...and we lucked out with Magnolia Terrace. It's beautiful...white, with red rose bushes and white magnolia bushes everywhere. YOu'll love it!

Re: Room requests I called CBR today to confirm our ressies from 6/24 - 7/4. The CM confirmed that we were in the computer. Then, I wasn't going to, but I did it anyway, I asked if we could be placed in Jamaica. She was really rude when she replied, "You can request all you want, but it's not going to happen." I explained that I understood that, but was under the impression one could still request a specific island, knowing that it is not guaranteed. Her reply, "I don't care what you were told, you can't request." Oh well, I guess we will just be surprised at what island we stay at.

Re: Room requests I'm not the type of person to complain to a higher being because of something like that. I used to work in management at a water park, and as a teacher, I know people complain about very trivial stuff. By the way, I did get her name, and if we do come across her again, I'll see what her attitude is like then. If she is the person who checks us in, and is rude or not very helpful, then I will strongly consider speaking to her supervisor. Hopefully she was just having a bad day. Tomorrow I will attempt again to request an island. If I get the Not-The-CM-Of-The-Year again, I'll just hang up and try again later!
