Not that I really can change anything now .... but I've been wondering ... will I find my room at the ASmovies to be adequate enough for me, hubby, and 2 small boys? I've heard some mixed things about the size of the rooms at the resort and now I'm scared!!!!! YYYIIIKKKEESS! Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Worried about \"size\" of room at ASM ...... vs. PO or DXL

I've yet to stay at AS, but the difference is 260 sq. ft. as opposed to 314 sq. ft. Since your boys are small, it might not be a problem. I like to put as much as I can in the drawers and then stow the luggage in an out of the way place.

I bet you'll be so busy that when you are in your room, you'll be too tired to notice.

Take care-

I think you would be alright with your family. Now if you had said 2 teenagers instead of 2 young boys, I would say NOT BIG ENOUGH! My friend and I stayed in the AS Baseball section with with her son and my daughter.... we managed but I don't think there is a room anywhere in WDW big enough for two teenagers!!! The kids will enjoy this resort(we did )

I have stayed at the All-Stars with a group of 4 adults as well as a combination adult/older teens group. No problem with the size of the room. Having only one bath was the biggest drawback as well as lack of sitting space (the 2 chair table is small in area). But we were never in the room much.

I think you'll find you guys will be happy with the All Stars. We stayed at ASMu last fall with our two kids (4 and 6) and they thought it was great. We never had a problem with the size of the room or the bathroom, for that matter. Even only having two chairs was not a problem as we usually wanted to laze around on the beds when we were in the room anyway. The kids found enough room to play with their purchases and we loved the ease of the food court and the bus system. Have a great time and don't get yourself all worried----it will be SO MUCH FUN.

We just returned from All-Star sports and the room was fine. We had 2 kids 6 & 8 and they had a great time there. We had 6 drawers and used 5 of them. There is an area to put your luggage against the wall. There is also a clothes rack with a shelf above. The beds are double beds there is a small space to walk between the 2nd bed and the wall. Don't worry, you'll have a great time there.

We stayed at All Star Sports in 97 and 99
with two teenager and we didn't mine the
size of the room but then we really only
use our room to sleep and shower we weren't in the room much. I think you will be okay
I would give it a try and if there is any
problems you know to go to a bigger room
next time.

Re: Worried about \"size\" of room at ASM ...... vs. PO or DXL

We just got back from staying in Sports for a week with two buys 6 & 8, hubby and me. We loved it. The room is not major luxury but is cute and clean and was enough room for the 4 of us. Although we did have to arrange and rearrange at times to make the room seem "clean' and not cluttered with all the souveniers we collected, I would stay here again and again. I am not a big believer in spending lots of money on hotels. We just needed a nice place to sleep and all our extra dollars went towards seeing the mouse and buying STUFF!!!!! You will have a great time and the food court is GREAT!!!

Great hearing you had an enjoyable stay at the All Stars. I want to get over there and check out Toy Story. I really liked the Baseball section (the teens did too )

I agree with putting the money into the trip rather than a resort room (unless we hit the lottery ).

My dad was in the Air Force and when we would travel across country, he would say to the hotel staff when the rate was high "I don't want to buy the place I just want a place to sleep for the night!" Would you believe he would get a lower rate!

Re: Worried about \"size\" of room at ASM ...... vs. PO or DXL

Personally, I would choose DxL over ASMo. I've stayed at both and we had three adults in one room at ASMo. I thought it was a bit too small, and it was particularly inconvenient only having one sink. At least with two sinks/mirrors, you can work around each other when getting ready. But we just found DxL to be nicer overall. The resort itself was much prettier, it was quieter and more relaxing, check-in was much faster and the room was much nicer.

Just my opinion...
