| Re: Need help choosing Boardwalk Inn rooms I'm not sure what you're looking for, but we stayed in a "standard" room on the 4th floor. It overlooked the front entrance and driveway. It was really big and quiet. The only request we made was for a king bed (which they granted) It's a great hotel, transportation is a breeze, and there are plenty of places to see along the Boardwalk. We loved it! | Re: Need help choosing Boardwalk Inn rooms The type of room and side of building are mostly determined by the level of accommodations you booked. If you have a PassPorter you can check the resort map, which should help you visualize things. The resort is essentially an elongated, U-shaped building, with the lobby adjacent to the base of the "U." Water views overlook the boardwalk and Crescent Lake on one side of the "U." Courtyard views line the entire inside of the "U", overlooking very attractive gardens and the quiet pool. Standard views overlook the conference center, parking lot and entrance courtyard. If you booked a Water view you may want a lower floor to feel close to the action on the Boardwalk, or a higher floor for a good view and lower noise. You may not care as much about floor number if you booked a Courtyard view, as the courtyard is very quiet, and there will be little to see beyond the courtyard. Standard views are probably best on a higher floor. In all cases you may want to ask to be close to the lobby elevators, as it can be a long walk from the far ends of the "U." ------------------ Co-Author, PassPorter Walt Disney World 2000 http://www.passporter.com/wdw/ |
