She said YES!!!!!! Well in another thread I said I wanted to look at the DVC at the WL Villas. Well, rather than plot and scheme a visit to see the new DVC there, I just flat out asked after dinner tonight. I asked if it would be OK to make an appointment on our trip in 10 days to look the place over and talk to someone there. Well, gosh darn it, SHE SAID YES!! I wonder how much it will be to get enough points for a 1 bedroom in value season? Wish me luck. See ya. Don [This message has been edited by Disney Traveler (edited 11-21-2000).]

Re: She said YES!!!!!! Hey Don! Congrats on the convincing part. That is the hardest part of the whole DVC process, convincing the spouse! DVC doesn't have something called value season. They have: Adventure season: Jan 1-31 Sept 1-30 Dec 1-14 The points for a 1BR, at WL villas, for that season, is 22pts for Sun-Thur and 45pts for a Fri or Sat. Or 200 pts total for a week. Choice Season: Oct 1-31 Nov 1-20 Nov 24-30 Dec 15-23 Points for same as above are: 24 for Sun-Thur and 47 for Fri or Sat. Or 214 weekly. Each point is now selling for about 67.00 each, and you are required to buy a minimum of 150. Sounds like a lot, but to me it is well worth it. I got 5 nights, at The Boardwalk, in a two BR, that sleeps 8, in May, for 150 points. That is a room that goes for 600.00 a night. Can you say bargain? Anyway, if you want anymore specific info, please let me know. (Or if any of this wasn't clear) Margaret

Re: She said YES!!!!!! Good for you! We got all of the info. from DVC earlier in the year and spoke to one of the representatives. It turns out that it's just more than we can afford right now. We ended up booking a last minute trip for next month, and are staying at the WL Villas! I tried to tell DH that we could probably use that as our down payment, but I guess we'd still have to find a way to pay for the rest of it! Good luck!

Re: She said YES!!!!!! Hello all, We stopped in at the villas my Dad was interested in the vacation club and we stayed at the BWV 2 weeks ago and he went to the DVC area and spoke to someone they sais the are sold out of BWV but I told him lets go look at Wilderness Lodge Villas. We planned on going to MK that night so we went over from MK on boat very nice! What a beautiful resort! Though we had no idea on how to find villas though. So we went exploring. We even found a cast member in a villa near pool and we kinda persuaded her to let us look around inside. Very nice my hubby says better then BWV. We would love to join though being a very part time working until kids grow up we will wait. That why I was working on Grandpa! Sorry so long of a post I think I better start a trip report!!! ------------------ Karen Aug-85 off-site Aug-97 0ff-site GOT SMART Nov-98 BWV W/Grandparent Nov-00 BWV W/Grandparents
