| Just Back from CBR We had a magical time, and I'm working on an Adventure Report to post later this week, but I wanted to post our observations of CBR. SMG, this one's for you! As some of you may remember, I was a bit worried about the condition of the CBR, and with renovations in progress, worried that the rooms would be awful. I couldn't have been more wrong if I tried! We loved it!!! All of our worries were for nothing. CBR is big and spread out -- no surprise there, but we never felt like there were over 2,000 rooms full of people there. Our king room in Trinidad South was beautiful. It was newly carpeted, and a large room. The bed was huge! I felt like I was sleeping in a different zip code from Scott! The food court had plenty of selections, and never seemed crowded, and we were there at all different times. The CMs were friendly throughout, and even helped Scott find some bland food (for his sick pregnant wife The main pool was large with lots of umbrellas and chairs (and lots of kids, even in December). The quiet pool in Trinidad South was larger than I expected for a single village pool, again with plenty of tables, umbrellas, and chairs (and pretty deserted even when it was warm). All in all, we'd definitely stay there again. | Re: Just Back from CBR I can't believe I'm typing this, but the Adventure Report is posted. Yes, just a bit over 24 hours from return, and it's complete. Actually, it's easier to do when it's fresh in your mind. It's practically novel-length, so if you want to read it, get comfortable. SMG, you're going to love CBR. And I'll bet even more renovations will be done by the time you get there! Let me know if you've got any questions! ------------------ Stacey 7/94: Polynesian, 12/94: Port Orleans, 7/95: Polynesian, 7/97: Polynesian, 8/98: Honeymoon at Wilderness Lodge, 2/99: Dixie Landings, 7/99: Beach Club, 11/00: Caribbean Beach, 7/01: Coronado Springs (hopefully) Patiently waiting for my fairy godmother to arrive! |
