Room request ? Does faxing in your room request really help you get what you want? We will be staying at the Pop Century in February and wondered if I should do this. From reading the reports the 50's building is great. Jennifer

Re: Room request ? I faxed a request for our last trip and we got exactly what we wanted! I really only requested a certain building, and a non smoking room. I didn't have any other requests than that. I don't know if the fax did it, or simply my reservation??? Paula šOš

Re: Room request ? We are going to try and request our original room back in 10 years. Yeah, its a stretch, but boy was our area quiet and out of the way. Good luck. It might be the magic that gets you your request. ![]()

Re: Room request ? We faxed ahead for our late August stay, but were not granted our request. I asked at the front desk for the building that we wanted at check-in and was able to be moved. This was at All-Star Movies. It seems that sometimes the fax works and sometimes it doesn't.

Re: Room request ? We usually just give them our requests when making our reservations and have always got what we asked for. Good Luck!

Re: Room request ? Every trip we have faxed our requests in 4 days before arrival (as advised on Deb Willis' site) and we have gotten every request each time. The key is to request reasonable things, list them in order of preference, and give reasons for why you nees them. This allow the room assigner to help you out with the next best thing if they can't accomodate you exactly. Works like a charm!

Re: Room request ? We've never faxed requests in for the Disney resorts but instead, along with making the requests in order of priority to us at the time we make our hotel reservations, I always phone down to the resort where we will be staying about three or four days before departure. I ask to speak to the room assigner, strike up a pleasant conversation, tell them how much I'm looking forward to staying at their resort and then list my requests to make sure that they are there on my reservation. Naturally, I repeat these requests again at check-in time. So far, by doing this, I've always gotten every single thing I've requested. Joy

Re: Room request ? Thanks for the advice. We already have on our reservation adjoining rooms. I would like to be in a building closer to the bus/food. My mom has back problems and I would like to get them close to everything. Jennifer
