| What would you recomend?? I'm asking this question for a friend who is planning to go to WDW. What resort would you recomend??? It will be 2 families, all total 4 adults 3 kids (9yrs, 3yrs, and 3yrs) I havent't ever stayed on site, so I thought that I would ask you guys your opinion. They will be going in September and are think about the Land and Sea deal. If you have done this give your opinion too! Thanks a bunch! Skychey |

| Re: What would you recomend?? Almost any resort can accommodate those two families, whether in two regular rooms, or in some sort of multi-bedroom villa. With so many choices both in price and theme, it's hard to make recommendations unless we know more about your friend's budget, tastes, and the like. PassPorter Walt Disney World gives extensive coverage to each of Disney's resorts, so perhaps you can lend your friend your copy (presuming you have one). The 2001 Edition also has expanded coverage of the cruise line. One aspect of doing the Land/Sea packages is that your choice of accommodations on the boat determines your choice of resorts on land. Those who book cabins in Categories 1-3 stay at the Grand Floridian, those in Categories 4-7 stay at other Deluxe resorts, including Beach Club, Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Swan and Dolphin. Category 8-12 staterooms stay at one of the Moderate resorts - Port Orleans (including the old Dixie Landings) or Caribbean Beach. None of the Land/Sea packages include a stay at Disney's Value resorts. As the Land/Sea packages are rarely discounted, we feel it makes more sense to book the cruise and land portions separately, choosing the stateroom, resort room, and park admission that best suits their budget and interests. Rather than use Disney Cruise Line for ground transport they can use Tiffany Towncar. For a group of that size Tiffany would probably use one of their luxury vans, and you'll find that their price is subtantially lower than Disney's. ------------------ Co-Author, PassPorter Walt Disney World 2001 http://www.passporter.com/wdw/ |
