What kind of a discount is this? We've been calling off and on to find a room at the Poly for the last two days of our trip. We even bought into the Disney Club. The lowest rate we've been able to get is $254 including taxes for garden view, the second week of September 2001. Is this good, should we put a deposit on it? I'd like your opinions. This has a 5 day cxl policy, the other half is due 21 days prior to arrival. I know I've seen better rates than this, and am wondering if I'm missing a step, here! lol Thanks for your input! ------------------ Priscilla ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<3 ![]()

Re: What kind of a discount is this? HI! What you can do is reserve this rate and then keep calling. I reserved my rooms a couple of months ago and have been paying them off. As the beter rates come out I will switch my deposits to the new rates. I have never stayed at the Poly but i think that is a great rate. Is that the disney Club rate????? ------------------ Judi in Jersey Next trip: August 2001 at the Wilderness Lodge!

Re: What kind of a discount is this? Yes, that is with Disney Club. Taxes on rooms are 14%, right? Figuring that, it's about $225 a night. They tried to give me the $29.99/night insurance automatically, which I thought was nervy of them, especially with a 5 day cxl policy! I had to ask her, "and how much without the insurance?"

Re: What kind of a discount is this? Hi! I got a really great deluxe rate (169 YC) in July because I'm a PA resident, you HAVE to ASK if they have any special rates for your state and time of stay when calling. At first the CM hesitated and said "I doubt it" but I asked if he would please look into it and well, he was wrong good luck, wendy

Re: What kind of a discount is this? Cinderella----You DO NOT have to pay for the trip insurance if you don't want to (if you haven't sent in your deposit already). If you decide to keep that rate (which sounds good to me) ask them to take the insurance off before you pay your deposit. The taxes on the room are 11% (not 14%). -HiddenMickey

Re: What kind of a discount is this? I've seen better rates, but not this far in advance. I'd try again in July and August - Annual Pass and Manager's Specials are two discounts to ask about when you get closer to your travel dates. ------------------ Co-Author, PassPorter Walt Disney World 2001 http://www.passporter.com/wdw/
