Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

Yes, I stayed there in September. I was only there for a weekend and although it's not like staying at a deluxe resort I enoyed my stay there. I have nothing but raves for the food court - they had everything from sushi to what I like for a meal - Perrier, cheese & fruit.
I stayed in Mighty Ducks which is furthest from the food court, but I found I preferred that because the quiet pool is there. It's a good size for a quiet pool and it lends more atmosphere. Plus it's a short walk next door to Music's bus stop - closer then the Movies' bus stop.
I couldn't find any fault with the rooms either. They were neat and comfortable with the usual Disney layout - most importantly the sink area is outside the bathroom. There is plenty of room to hang things with a shelf above that and the in room safe. You probably want to bring your own soap & shampoo because they only have the dispenser soap which personally I don't care for.
I called housekeeping for an iron & board and that was delivered to my room within a reasonable amount of time.
The only thing I would change about this resort is the facade. I think they could have made it more appealing and still stayed within their construction budget. However, once you are inside and then among the buildings, it definately has that Disney feel.
I'm sure you will enjoy it there and you won't have that nagging feeling in the back of your mind about all that money you're spending on lodging!

Take care-

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

we stayed ther DEC 2000, no complaints! Fantasia building, 3rd floor, rooms always spotless, and not noisy considering that there were a few HUNDRED 12-14 year old drill team girls there at that time! Short walk to pool, food court and laundry. That would be the only complaint; laudry facilities are too small, so, I did laundry at odd times to avoid the rush. We thought it was great!

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

Hi, We stayed in 101 Dalmations 3rd floor in the front COurtYard. It was very quiet. really really close to the main Pool & food Court. The climb up the stairs was nothing and I am not into stair climbing. We could not have benn happier. I hope ALl Star SPorts is as good when we go there in this Year. I would suggest Dalmations or Toy Story if you are staying with Children. Toy Story was a lot of Fun. My 8 yr old Nephew loved playing in "Andys Room"
I asked for more towels & a Hair dryer & got them quick enough. Luggage service was better than it was at CBR. The Food Court was great, but stay clear between 9am -10 am we saw how crowded that got on our last day there, but it was managable. We were always up very early & missed the crowds.
I loved the Theming there too.

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

Last year in April myself, my 2 kids (5&8),my mother & father, nephew & my mother-in-law (left husband at home he couldn't make it since it was a last minute decision). He and everyone and also my sister and her family are all going back to the same resort for Thanksgiving. This was my first time back since 1978 We checked in, they took our luggage & would put it in the room when it was ready. We had an early lunch and made it to MK park by 12:00. We stayed in the Love Bug section a little bit of a walk, we asked to stay in Dalmations, Toy Story or Fantasmic this time it is a little closer to the lobby, pool and food court. We never had to wait long for a bus to take us to any of the parks. The time we went was peak season so it was the cheapest but I don't have any complaints about this resort we had 4 in our room 2 adults 2 children and had plenty of room. For the amount of time we did spent in our room it was great. If you are up early and on the go till 9:00 at night why pay the extra you can spend it elsewhere. Hope you enjoy. In the back of the gift shop they have a small food store, we never saw this till our last day.

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

I was there in Feb of 99. We stayed in the MIghty Duck building. There were 3 adults and a child. We had plenty of room. I loved it!

We are going back in Spetember. This time just 4 adults, but that is were we are staying again.

I also have to rave about the food court! We also walked over to All-Star Music and ate at their food court.

We were on the 3rd floor in the corner. I can't remember anyone even walking by our room. An we were there when they had the cheeerleading competition.

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

Nicky, from my experience, all the buildings are fine and even the farthest is not a huge walk to the main building. If being immediately next to the main building is not a concern for you, choose the movie that you enjoy most. I know that because I chose to stay at the Toy Story, I enjoyed myself much more than if I had stayed at the Love Bug or Mighty Ducks, because I really LOVE Toy Story. So you may want to use the building choice to add to your vacation a bit, but you'll be happy with whateva you end up in.

Re: ALL-STAR MOVIES

We were at the Dalmations building the last time that we stayed there and loved it! We were close to the food court and to both of the pools (sort of right in the middle). We have a Dalmation at home so our kids loved it. The price was right for us to have two rooms so that the teenagers could have their own and the younger son sort of passed back and forth.
