| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort Well, my fave thing about the GF is not a secret. But, I'll NEVER forget how magical it was the first time we heard music and ran down to the dock and saw the Water Parade. That is our best memory......seeing that parade, with the castle in the distance. No where else I'd rather be. | Tell us something special about your favorite resort The resorts all have unique things to offer guests.....what is something little known about your favorite resort that we'd all love to know? Is it a private spot? Is it a food from the eatery? Is it a special program for guests? What can you share with us? -HiddenMickey |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort Great Question!! Like NoahNMe, my favorite resort is the Grand Floridian! It's not a secret, but it is very special, and that is getting to eat at the "Chefs Table" at Victoria & Albert's! A private table in the kitchen, where you can see all that goes on! They prepare a meal specially tailored to your likes & dislikes! Private one on one time with Chef Scott Hunnel when he shares a glass of champagne with you before the meal. He also stopped by to explain each mouth watering coarse! And at the end the ultimate menu collectable! They print a beautiful menu with all you have had that night with your name & date on it! It is signed by Chef Hunnel, and the ladies get a fresh rose! Each person gets their own menu, because you all have different dishes according to your likes! This is truly a masterpiece of dinning!! This has reminded me that I never did a review of our meal here!! I will have to do this very soon (I promise)!! Keep an eye out for it in Feasting & Snacking!! Thanks HiddenMickey for reminding me of this GREAT meal!! ------------------ WildForWD ...you must face the age of not believing ...until at last you start believing there's something wonderful in you!! | Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort I'll agree with everything Debbie said about Shades of Green, and I'll add another. The Evergreen Sports Bar is a great place to relax after a long day at the parks... big screen TV, comfortable atmosphere, good drinks and food. Can't wait to go back in December ------------------ tinkerose ![]() |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort I personally love WLV and BWV. They are both special in different ways. WLV: Very quiet in some ways and (i know this will sound awfully weird...) it smells sooooooo nice! We took a tour last time, the christmas tour. And I said kinda out loud how wonderful the resort smells, our tour guide told us that Disney uses some sort of a special scent thing for each resort to represent them. No wonder I'm hooked on this one! BWV: Love the convenience to EPCOT and Studios. And definitely fun at night. Also lots of good food around: Beaches and Cream, Spoodles, Chocolate crepe stand, the bakeries...mmm...mmm...mmmm.... Anyways, That's my 2 cents... |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort Just returned from a 5 night stay at WL. It was wonderful! My favorite part was simply sitting in the lobby, soaking in the atmosphere and listening to the great American Western style symphonies and other musical arrangements - Love the Magnificent Seven! We spent an hour or so exploring the lobby on various levels. There are stairs on the north and south sides of the lobby, close to the front of the building. They will take you to the different levels. Each level of the lobby has a special feature - above the front door is a tucked-away fireplace and couch; the 4th floor has a balcony overlooking the front entrance; the 5th and 6th floors have balconies overlooking the courtyard waterfall. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore! |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort My favorite resort is the Shades of Green. This resort was once called the Disney Inn & the Golf Resort. It is located behind the Poly nestled between the Magnolia & Palm golf courses. It is for active & retired members of the armed forces & DoD. It is a quiet resort with large rooms and the staff is extremely nice. When we went to check in this past January, my husband was surprised when the attendant said to me "Weren't you just here a few months ago?"(yes, I was there in Sept) & said to my husband, "Glad to see you decided to come back!". (His first trip to SoG was one year prior to this visit and he wasn't sure when he would be back). I also enjoy the morning walks over to the Poly to catch the monorail. (Notice I didn't say evening walks... usually by evening I am eagerly awaiting for the bus to be shuttled back to the resort ------------------ HAPPY PLANNING! & "Remember the Magic!" šoš Take Care, debe-nj |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort Well, I've only stayed at WL and ASMu (and ASMu was for one night only), so I guess my favorite (so far) is the WL--not that there's anything wrong w/it being my favorite!!! Something special about the WL? Oh, where to begin... Well, I'll just say that, being a Virgo, sometimes it's very hard for me to stop being practical and realistic and just let myself go with the magic, but from the moment that I had arrived at the WL, I was transported to another world (not to be confused with Another World, which NBC rudely yanked off the air a few years ago! For the next 7 days, I allowed myself to be completely mesmerized by the entire aura and ambiance of the WL...so, I guess I can't name one special thing...just the whole resort was magnificent, majestic, and all-encompassing--a true work of art!!! ------------------ My little baby's all grown up, and....saving China! sniff...You got a tissue? I was devasted when they had the nerve to do this.....and they replaced it with such an intellectual and quality show like "Passions"!! :::cough, choke, gag::: ------------------ Shelly in IL Disneyland 5/81 WDW 2/83 WDW 5/92 WDW 5/3/01-5/12-01 Port Orleans - Riverside |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort For me, every resort I have stayed at has had a different, special reason that I have loved it. Please allow me to walk down memory lane.... At the Poly, I absolutely adored the hammocks on the beach. I could have layed there all day just staring at the wonderful castle. At WL, I loved riding the bikes over to FW. It transplanted me from all the hustle & bustle in the parks to a very quiet, relaxing, almost secluded place. This was a very heavenly retreat! At CS, I enjoyed riding the surrey bikes with my DH. We were able to "tour" the different settings of the resort -- seeing the Ranchos, Cabanas, & Casitas. At DXL, I enjoyed walking the wooded paths around the buildings. The atmosphere was so very laid back & peaceful. The resort staff here were also some of the most remarkable CM's I have ever encountered -- VERY helpful, friendly, and attentive. (But then again, I think pretty much all the WDW CM's are marvelous!) I guess each resort has offered so many different wonderful things to see and do. Maybe that's why I love picking a new place to stay on each trip! All Ears |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort We've liked each of the resorts we've stayed at onsite. The Contemporary- I loved the Garden wing with the door that opened to the lawn, and best of all, we could see the water parade. (Being on the monorail line wasn't bad either!) Port Orleans- I loved the atmosphere there... but if you ask DD, it's the Dragon Slide! Beach Club- Has to be a tie between the convience of walking to Epcot & MGM, and the pool area! For DD, again, it would be the pool. Before staying at the BC, she was saying she wanted to go back to the Dragon Slide. (Keep in mind, she's 5) After being at the BC, all she talks about now is going back there. ------------------ Michelle 6/88 - Off property 6/94 - Contemporary 9/98 - Port Orleans 1/01 - Beach Club ??/01 - ?? |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort I Love every (all 2) resorts we have stayed at. Only went to Old Key West, but I loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer in our villa. Also, every night we popped popcorn in the microwave and had cold sodas from the frig. Every afternoon we came back, all the dishes we had used were gone. On the third day I found them in the dishwasher! And they were clean! At the Poly (4times) I am in love with the conceirge building. I can leave my loaded stroller in the lobby and everything is still there in the morning. |

| Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort For WL, it was the atmosphere. Coming up the drive to see that magnificant building and then going inside. Sitting by the fireplace. There was a sense of peacefullness that I just can't describe. For CBR, the hammocks on the beach. I love laying there and just doing absolutely nothing. There is something neat about being at WDW with all the wonderful things to do and you are sitting there doing absolutely nothing. I loved it. ------------------ The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all. | Re: Tell us something special about your favorite resort The only resort at WDW that we have been to is Dixie Landings (now of course part of Port Orleans.) We really fell in love with the beautiful grounds and the quiet relaxing atmosphere. My personal favorite however is the pralines available at the bakery at DXL. They literally melt in your mouth. Another fun thing is riding the surrey bikes around the resort. |
