| Barrier Free Rooms?? Hello everybody! I've been a Birnbaum reader "since", and I just got my first Passporter. I LOVE it! Anyhow, I'm looking at Wilderness Lodge for our 2002 Family trip and I was wondering. What is a "Barrier Free Room"? |

| Re: Barrier Free Rooms?? Barrier free is the PC was of saying "handicapped accessible". It means the doors are wide enough for a wheelchir to easily fit through, there is a roll-in shower, usually with a shower seat, rather thana tub. The closet bars are lower, as is the peephole and "chain lock". Generally there are grab bars in the shower and toilet area, and sometimes but not always the beds are lower. Also, these rooms often have a somewhat different configuration, and are often larger. Anne |
