| American Express White glove Being a novice at planning my own trips, I have some very basic questions: Does any type of AX card offer you white glove treatment at Disney Resorts? When you book a town car (like Tiffany), are they waiting for you or do you phone them and wait? If you order an AP and get a voucher, do you start getting the newsletter and benefits right away or only after you start to use the passes? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! | Re: American Express White glove Hi Linda, and welcome to the boards. While I can answer only one of your questions, I'm sure there will be lots of people to answer the others. Tiffany is waiting for you in the luggage pickup area when you arrive in Orlando. They have your name on one of those signs-makes you feel extra important!! And their service is great. |

| Re: American Express White glove Hi, Mickey's Old Friend, and welcome! aurora1429 is correct about TTc, they will be waiting for you at baggage claim. I can't answer your AX question, or really your AP question. Boy, I'm a great help, aren't I? I have heard that some people have received the AP newsletter before they have redeemed their voucher. I have heard others have not received their newsletter until they activated the AP pass. I know you can receive an AP discount on rooms with the voucher. They do ask that you have your AP in hand when checking in. Welcome again! |

| Re: American Express White glove I don't have AX but I did receive a free fanny pack with american express white glove treatment printed on it (pic of Mickey's white gloves) when one of the CM's messed up. So I think it is safe to assume that there is white glove there. I'm guessing that AX holders would get these packs when checking in along w/ the other benefits that come along with AX. Just guessing though. |

| Re: American Express White glove Hey Mickey's old friend - You know, I've been wondering about the White Glove package myself. The Amex website lists the White Glove as a benefit for the Platinum Card only, but the phone representative told me that any Amex card is eligible. I remember seeing this when I got my introductory package. I'm calling the Amex Travel Office tomorrow to verify. (1-800-297-8133). I'll let you know what I find, or you can call yourself. Did you also know that if you sign up for the Amex "Rewards Program" that you get one point for every $ charged on your Amex card and then you can redeem points for Disney lodging, park passes, and character breakfasts? Hope this has been helpful. [ 08-12-2001: Message edited by: patsy-c ] |

| Re: American Express White glove Mickey's old friend, I am looking at the Disney Resort Guest - Answer book.It says " Use the Amex card to charge your stay of 2 or more nites....Just ask the front desk upon chekin about White Glove Treatment, exclusively for Amex cardmemebers." It does not indicate any special 'type' of card. But minnivoice is correct, the White Glove does usually net you the fannypack at check-in. Not sure what else. About the AP newsletter- hmm that's a tough one. The Mickey Monitor is published 4 times a yr, Feb, May, Aug and Nov. Since we bought our original AP in Sept(yrs ago) our first MM came in Nov.
