| Re: AKL Welcome, welcome welcome!! We, too, leave for the AKL in 36 days! How's that for coincidence! We have a Deluxe Savanna room (5 of us in tow). Will you be there for your daughter's birthday?!? Make it known, first and foremost, as Disney LOVES to celebrate! I'd start with a great character breakfast or end the day with a character dinner! | Re: AKL Welcome to the board! I think if you go to City Hall in the Magic Kingdom and tell them it is her birthday, they will give her a special birthday pin to wear. The cast members will often help make a big deal of her birthday throughout the day. Also, my Passporter says from the resort dial 0, and then ask for the special "birthday message". We took a friend's son to Chef Mickey's for his birthday, which was a lot of fun! They sing and bring a cupcake with a candle on it, and everyone in the restaurant sings along and twirls napkins...there were characters there, of course. I would call soon if you choose a restaurant like that, that has characters, to get priority seating reservations. Have fun! |
