CSR or CBR this May?

I got the discount code postcard in the mail some weeks ago, and I just can't resist it any longer. Called for availability; and now its a choice between CSR and CBR. Help, which would you choose and why? We love the theme-ing at both resorts, and both are well situated for a long weekend of water parks and MGM rides. I guess my one concern is CSR being so spread out: I'm recovering from a heel spur and plantar fasciitis and want to cut corners on walking when I can.

Re: CSR or CBR this May?

We loved CBR!! I think they are both rather spread out; but you can request one of the closer "islands" like I think Jamaica?

CSR is more business-oriented with all those conference rooms, etc. I hear the Mayan Grill there is pretty good though....

Had a few other reasons to push stayin' at CBR but am now suffering a brain cramp...either that or the java hasn't kicked in yet!

Re: CSR or CBR this May?

Well, I've been reading a lot of previous posts, and CBR has such devoted fans....I'm really leaning toward that one. In fact, I think I'll make a reservation for that one today, requesting one of the bldgs near the food court. Plus: that's the one John really wanted to stay at, b/c we stopped by there for pressed pennies on our first trip to WDW, and apparently the wild, vivid colors really made an impression on him, LOL.

Re: CSR or CBR this May?

I debated CBR vs. CSR, too for our trip coming up in two weeks.I decided to go for CBR because of the water sports, walking trail around the lake, beach and pool theme and the "conference center" references at CSR. I don't think I could take 9 days of Mexican food, so the CBR food court appealed to me too.
Not to confuse you, but we stayed at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans) our last trip. That was great too. Have a great trip!

Re: CSR or CBR this May?

The recreation around the lake is a major plus! We are really looking forward to paddling around on a paddle boat, and having a picnic style lunch on parrot cay. In fact-if I ever get my check-in and water park plans figured out...one thing I wanted to do, was just spend a day enjoying the resort.
