| Reservations Disappointment First of all, hi everyone, I am back after a long hiatus. We decided to go back to the World in just 3 short weeks! So we called to make our hotel reservations (8 nights at ASMu, 2 rooms) and I have to say I am very disappointed. I had to talk to 4 different people.... and I got 3 different stories. First they said that there were standard rooms available but there was no Annual Passholder rate available. Then they said there were PREFERRED rooms available at the AP rate of $94. Then it went up to $99. Finally the LAST person I spoke to (From the "Guest Recovery Department") said there were both standard AND preferred rooms available - Standard for the AP rate of $74, and Preferred for the AP rate of $86. Really disappointed that Disney is trying to rip it's guests off. I spent over $5,000 in September on our 2-week honeymoon - we are going to spend over $3,000 this time around. I know there are people out there who spend a lot more than I do, but I think they should at LEAST get the rates straight! I am very upset that I had to talk to 4 people to get this straight. ![]() On the upside... Disney World, here we come! |

| Re: Reservations Disappointment I decided to take the advice of some (read: quite a few) of the folks here and use Small World Vacations. (Not affiliated with WDW) I needed to set up my honeymoon and on said advice, emailed and obtained some fantastic support from my rep, Joyce. She is a whiz! She knows the ropes, and provided me with insight I never imagined. That's my choice, from this point onward. Cheers, and the best of luck. Contact Information: Small World Vacations, Inc. | Re: Reservations Disappointment It's really been crazy lately with CM's not knowing the answers to peoples questions. Sorry you had a rough time. There's been many times when I haven't gotten the answer that I want, I have to hang up and call back and talk to someone else. Congrats on the great rate and have a wonderful time! |

| Re: Reservations Disappointment I agree with those folks who have had problems lately with CMs who don't know as much as they should about all things WDW when handling queries over the telephone. I actually talked to a CM recently who argued with me that I could not get breakfast ressies at Rainforest Cafe at A.K. I patiently explained to him that he was probably mixing it up with the R.C. at Downtown Disney which doesn't offer breakfast. He very firmly replied that neither R.C. at WDW served breakfast. So I said to him, "Humor me and go check it on the computer please." He came back on and said, "Oh, it appears that they are now offering breakfast at the R.C. at AK. They must have just changed it." I kindly refrained from reminding him that I had already told him that I'd had breakfast there last December. Anyways, this sort of lack of knowledge on the part of Disney CM's can prove to be misleading and frustrating. I also agree about using a travel agent experienced in all things Disney to book your hotel room ressies. It doesn't cost you a cent and saves a lot of grief and hassle. We recently used Your Magical Journeys to book our room at POFQ for August and it was so nice to sit back and let them do all the work. They automatically grabbed the AP code for us when it came out and had it applied to our room which then gave us our POFQ stay for $99/night. Joy |

I don't believe anything telephone CM's tell me unitl I read it in writing and even sometimes thats wrong! What do you think is wrong? No one seems to be on the same page. The call centers must be all over the country and communication skills are on the fritz....? |

| Re: Reservations Disappointment wow-that's awful!!! Definately write to guest communications with your complaints. i hate when, as a cast member, we all have differing info! I feel so bad for guests. On the other hand, i'm excited you're coming to wdw!! have fun! Kell |
