Doubletree Guest Suites... My fam and I are staying at DGS in September. Have any of you stayed there before? What did you think? How was transportation to and from the parks?

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites... I haven't stayed at DGS, but have stayed at the Courtyard before. They share transportation. The buses are nicer than the WDW buses, but they don't run as often. They are shared by all of the DD resorts (at least they were then) and they can get very crowded. If I remember correctly, they run about every 30 minutes for each park. I was not happy with the transportation situation, but it wasn't too bad. You can walk to DD for buses, but that can be a bit of a hike.

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites... The DGS have lovely accomodations but the transportation could be better. You don't have the flexibility to come & go as you please. Your drop off/pick-up points are not as close to the park gates. They have a schedule but be sure to check with the desk, it changes depending on the crowds/season/park hours. As stated you're near DTDisney & using Disney buses is the best way to go. ![]()
